i was siting in my room and reading. i looked out the window and saw some lady pulling her kid.she looked tired and was holding so much stuff that she could not carry her kid. kid was probably 2 years old was very stuborn and was not going with her mother. out of frustration she was spankind and shaking the kid very badly. finally she went away and left the kid what the kid was doing, and hid behind the building to watch kid.
in the mean time some guy was watching them and he called the police and his lady friend took the kid away. mother was asking her kid back but she did not give. i do not know what she told the police it looked that she was not hurting kid intentionaly. i know it is against the law and it is wrong, i went to tell the police that she did not leave her kid on the road,if other guy told police that.somehow i felt little sorry for her. Did i do wrong?

My new boss wants to meet my family. The last time a boss of mine met my family, the kids didn't like him and it went downhill from there. He ended up with mustard all over his shirt ( I won't go into detail). I'm afraid my kids are not going to like thsi boss and play some kind of prank on him too. My 5 older kids (age 14-19) may not like him, but they keep their thoughts to themselves (well, at least until after he leaves the house). The 3 youngest kids (age 10 mo., 2, and 3) probably couldn't care less. It's my 10 kids ages 6-12 that I'm scared about. how can i get them to behave before, during, and after dinner? I really want my boss to like me and not get off on the wrong foot with him.

I'm a nanny, from south america living in USA since 2004. the only thing i see here in america is moms going crazy for theyr babies development, is baby class, baby sing class, books, educational toys, since they are new borns. There is no play time without the parent relax and just enjoy the play time, no, is always need to have some educational pourpouse in the game.
i ask? how could i, and many many others, survive, 28 years ago, without special bottles, without estimulation, whatching tv, playing outside. how could i get a degree in physical education if i didn't had baby einstain or baby class when i was 3 months old? how could i learn to love my mom and be a good person even if she spanked me sometimes and said NO to me many many times.
i want to be a mom, but i'll relax way more, because i will never accept my kid kicking me or telling me to shut up.
Can you, american moms, explain that to me: how could we survive?

I see them all the time at work, and everywhere i go and feel so jealous of their mothers. i know its a big responsibility but i believe im ready for that. I want to have to wake up in the middle of the night constantly to see if they are ok and to check up on them, i want to have to be constantly around to take care of them, etc etc because i know all the hard work will pay off. is it ok to feel this way? am i crazy or what? serious answers only please.

How much do you pay for your babysitter, per hour or per night. Tell your location cause that does have an effect on how much to charge. Rual or City

today my mom told me to do my chores and i told her no that was a girls job and for girls only, im a man a shouldn't have to do them, well she told me yesterday if i didn't have my chores done by the end of the night then i would be doing chores for the next week wearing a girls little maid uniform, etc, she said i will see what its like to have to cater to men and everyone else, i thought she wasnt ******* around, so i didnt do them, well today she actually brought home a short frilly maids uniform with panties and legging and everything, she told me i will wear it and do chores in it, for the next two weeks, and if anytime i give her lip she will lift my skirt and spank me, im too old for this, shes a women she should be doing the chores not me, u think this is really fair? im going to look like a girl, what do i do? obey her?

I can see how some kids could have minds that believe in a lot of the really bad stuff sung (like in metal bands), but most or a lot of kids, when they reach a certain age, no longer really believe in some of the songs or just don't care what they're singing about or just don't really follow what they are saying (like if they tell them to shoot up their school, they have a normal mind that won't do what it's singing about).

My dad doesn't let me, but my mom does, and I download the songs (haven't in a while and probably won't that much anymore), and most of my friends listen to bands that are parental advisory. I don't really see the problem with it once a lot of kids reach a certain age.

Could someone please explain this to me?

P.S.- Sorry if I didn't word it that well. For some thoughts, I can't really do that...

What are some good websites that give you as much information as possible on fostering kids?

Parents of teenage girls, and boys too I suppose, a question?
Would you pay to rent a "Baby Think it Over" for a few days to a week for a "Scared Straight" tactic? If so how much would you pay (Considering that unless your local school has it in the curriculum, the price is approximately $450.00 to purchase one). And you guessed it, my school district does not have it available.

Thanks in advance for your answers, and please do not answer if you are a teen. Thanks

My kids all under 10 like to put red pepper on their pizza or pasta. I was scolded by my father for allowing them to eat it. He said it will stunt their growth. I am sure this is just an old wive's tale.

Hey, this Mom is just now discovering teenagers. My son is 13 and goes to a small private school. His best bud moved a year ago and a couple of the others guys his age also and it's hard for him to bond or have anything in common with the few guys that are his age. He hates sports and doesn't have that in common with most guys so that's a mark against him. Sometimes he feels out of place. He's avoiding social situations and even the youth group at church. What's some good advice? Please tell me this will pass. I'm sad because I miss the little boy that use to like Scobby Do and trains and it breaks my heart to see him suffer any.

I'm interested in the adoption of Russian / Ukranian children. How was the process? Did the social services in the UK give you a hard time or was the process OK? A future thought for ourselves. I think it is difficult to get babies / children in the UK.
