I was recently diagnosed with alopecia areata and have had steroid injection in scalp. Last night i discovered that my scalp seems to be indented right at affected spot. Can the alopecia be causing tissue death? If so what are treatments for this?

its like last time one month i didn't like the way the psyctrist talked to my dad abt me and my dad was bit too much annoying too abt my last suicidal attempt.he told my doc that he should get off anti-d's its too long for last 3 yrs.my doc was also not liking supporting my views much.i stooped anti-d's a 2 weeks ago and i m doing absolutely fine execpt some suicidal thoughts.i want to go to her again bcz i can't tell her i hav stopped medicines.the difficult part is last time i did that and she was anoyed abt that.so any suggestions how to help it out?i hav fed up i changed 5 psyctrist in 3 yrs .just tell me to how to exaplin to my doc i m not taking medicines..

Had unprotected sex...just for like a minute or two...than i realized it was a stupid idea and told him to stop...do you think theres a chance of pregnancy through pre-*** if any came out? I heard pre-*** only contains sperm if there was a previous ejaculation. Anyways it was on the 6th day of my cycle...i normally have a 28 day cycle. I am old enough to know what i am doing. i am 7 mos out of back surgery for rupture at L4 L5...the pain im having is a result of lots of scar tissue wrapping around the nerve root as well as other places in the leg that was most affected. Is there anything i can do to get rid of scar tissue or at least significantly lessen its effects on me?

Im terrified of hsv1 and hsv2, ive never had an std in my life. I know its incredibly shallow to dump someone for having cold sores but I keep thinking about the risk of genital infection. Ive been intimate with him and now Im worried not only about infection - but about what to do. Will he understand if I break up with him! Does doing that make me a bad person? What is the easiest way to change from being a night owl to being a day person? I was born at 3:06 AM and I have always loved working the 3rd shift. Right now I am not working but I will stay up till now or later and want to sleep till 11 AM. I would love to wake up at 6 AM and feel refreshed, but I just can't seem to do that. I thought about staying up all night too, but then I will just get really tired around 2 in the afternoon and want to take a nap!

I stopped the shot because my hair started to fall off in patches. I was on the shot for almost 4 years. I didn't know too much about the side effects until my civilian doctor told me. My hair started to grow after I stopped the shot and took biotin and calcium pills. But my breasts hurt. I haven't been sexually active so I'm confused. Can anyone help?

I'm 17 and I'm suffering from some really bad depression. I can't be happy about anything, and I honestly know something just isn't right with me. My parents think the whole psychiatry and medicine thing is BS, so I'm forced to deal with it on my own. I don't have anyone to talk to here, and I'm tired of not being listened to. I don't have any close friends, my parents have their own problems, and I'm in an extremely tough place. It gets harder and harder everyday to get out of bed and want to to do anything productive. I'm always tired, I eat too much and unhealthily, and my moods are always in the pits. I'm at the end of my rope and I just think I'm too young to have all of this on my shoulders. What can I do?

My poor Mum suffers from coldsores and has just developed 3 painful ones at once!

Does anybody out there have any tried and true remedies that she can try for getting rid of them fast? I have her on L-Lysine vitamin tabs at the moment but they're more of a long term treatment..

I know its not a cure I actually have a appointment in 2 weeks ,but I'm seriously freaking out.I told the mental health nurse that I've been seeing but he said to came back in on the 14th and we would talk about a ssri.Ive been there 3 times and he keeps putting off perscibing me something,he usually only talks to me for like 10-20 min and sends me on my way with no advice no ssri no nothing he doesn't even listen to me.I don't think he takes the situation very seriously ,I've even asked to see someone else and was refused.So would I be right in asking a walk in clinic to perscibe something till the 14th?How would I even ask?Would xanax help for the time being?I know it has withdraw and isn't good for you ,but I'm seriously freaking out.I just need some help whether it be a drug a person just something.

I have ovarian cysts and I'm darn right sick of them. I felt some burst 5x this week, so far, and don't tell me I would be in the hospital because my doc said they burst all the time, you may/may not have pain, no need for doctor/hospital. I told my mom I was sick of it and she goes "Well maybe we can get you back in, or find another doctor." I already went numerous times and their words were "Sorry kid, lots of people get them, and theres nothing we can do, since you get them so often and nothing unusual happens." But I think thats bull. I also went to a GYN/OB and she also said that because nothing unusual is happening that theres nothing they can do. But they are coming more now. And I'm f'in sick of them. Sometimes its so bad, I wish they would just take my ovaries out, who cares if I can't have kids later. btw I'm only 15. So should I ask my mom to make an appointment with my regular doctor, or the GYN??

for about a week made myself throw up after eating, and now when i eat really fatty meals i feel guilty and throw up. I cant stop eating these meals tho because i dont no how to ask my parents if i can go on a diet or sumfin coz i dont have that good a relation ship with them. I have a BMI of 16.9 but i still feel lyk i'm really fat. heaps of the guys @ school say im fat and i believe them even tho my friends try to convince me im not.
