My lecture material says that glycemic load is reduced in Type II diabetes. What's the def. of glycemic load and why is it reduced in Type II diabetes?

Scenario: I have developed this problem; Whenever I lie down sideways (Either resting prone, back or on my sides) I start to ensure strange effects.

1: My breathing rate changes
2: I begin to have heart palpitations
3: My heartbeat becomes mildly faster
4: I have an uncomfortable feeling in my upper chest area


I made an appointment to go to the doctor's office and upon evaluation he claimed that there were no visable problems; blood pressure was fine and heart rate was perfect - No flaws or abnormal beats.

However "no visable problems" does not explain what the problem is, and felt that it was in my best interests not to know, however this problem can prevent me from going to sleep for 30-60 minutes, sometimes forcing me to wake up suddenly, taking in a deep breath, or causing me to stir constantly in an attempt to get into a more comfortable position. I am aware of a way to suppress the effects (Though for decency, I shall not post it here).

What is the problem?

plz help l8tely ill get headaches,they start @ my forehead above my eyes, and move then throughout my whole head.. @ times they just start @ the top and back of my head.. its annoying bc its like throbbing and sharp pain @ times if i move my head a certain way.. i tynenol everyday l8tely 4 the last maybe 2 weeks its annoying plz help!! I had to have a colonoscopy done, and I argued until I was blue in the face that I didn't want to be sedated...I finally won the battle and got my way. I was awake for the entire procedure and except for about 2-3 seconds of very mild cramping, the whole thing was virtually painless.
My dentist always tries to either make me take novocaine or gas for dental work...and I always refuse, having your teeth drilled on, while isn't pleasant, isn't painful either.
When I went into labor with both of my kids, here comes the nurse with an epidural needle telling me to roll over on my side. They didn't even ASK me if I wanted drugs or not. I told her I don't want an epidural, I don't want drugs, and I especially don't want my baby to be born drugged....they almost tried to MAKE me take it. I screamed for my husband, he told the nurse to get away from me or he'd call security for harassment.
Why do people DO this? Some people DO have a high pain tolerance and don't need to be drugged.

I have had a battery of test due to a few episodes with chest and jaw pain. I found out my heart is functioning well, but it is rigid. Rigid, because of extreme stress is what I was told. I am obese, and my cholesterol Other than this everything is fairly normal. Now I find my hands and feet are swelling, the left side being the worst. I have mentioned this to my doctors and they don’t seem to feel any need for alarm. But I am miserable with this and am on so many drugs because I have fibermialgea, that I am afraid to self medicate. I think a diuretic would help. But am afraid of mixing meds What kind of a Doctor do I seek for help.

my crotch has been itching for about 2 days. i dont see anything and i havent shaved. havent switched detergents or anything. i just had a urinary tract infection, but that was it. my question is, if you have pubic lice can you see them and can you get them by non sexual contact?

I've just started taking Loestrin 30 (changed pill after a bad time on the other one). My Dr said I can take 2 packs together this month because I would have been due on, on Xmas Eve, something I didn't want as I have awful periods. Yesterday the day after I would have been due on if I hadn't started taking 2 packs of pills together I started a light period and am still bleeding light today (and slight cramping). I didn't think you were supposed to have any bleeding if you take 2 packs one after the other. I thought you just missed a period and your next one came with the next 7 days break. Is this normal or is the pill not the right one for me?

i cant cough, i cant swallow etc everytime i do its this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE pain and doctors are all closed and i have a fever. does anybody know what i can do to make swallowing less painful? ive tried salt and water, i managed to get gargle stuff from chemist but almost threw up it was so disgusting, also i have throat lollies (anti imflamatory) but they dont do much

and i dont like honey, so thats out of the Q
also im hungry and i cant eat or drink cos it hurts so badly and i havent been off the couch for the past couple days

Over the last week or so i developed a rather severe cold but with it has come this really nasty cough. I am only a little wheezy when not having a coughing fit and have no chest pains but when the cough comes on it can last for ages. I am unable to catch my breath and it feels like 'I can't get the whole cough out'. With this i get a prickly sensation in my throat and the cough gets worse at night. Last night for example I had 15 mins sleep in total because every time i dozed off i woke up spluttering and gasping for breath and took me hours to be able to breathe again properly. can a cold bring on asthma that is normally lying dormant? I guess my real concern is its a bank holiday so do i really want to go to A&E and waste their time? But do i also want another night fearing for my life? I was very close to calling an ambulance last night but then it calmed down. any ideas?
