It's probably thrush. Nothing to worry about, a trip to the chemists for some Canesten will sort it out. Once you've used the treatment it should be gone in about 3-5 days. If it's still there after a week, see your Doctor.
It is usually caused by an imbalance 'down there'. Often it's caused by having sex, using perfumed soap, synthetic or tight clothing or being ill.

Thrush.
Women can get this easily.
All's it is is an imbalance in the bacteria in your vaginal area.
It can be brought on by eating too much sugar/having a sugarry diet, eating disorders, hot weather, periods etc.
Canesten Duo is an over the counter kit you can buy. It has a tablet in which you take to treat the internal part of the thrush, and a tube of cream which you apply externally to treat the external itching.
If you've still got symptoms after a week of using it,go and see your doctor.
If you're in a sexual relationship, use a condom until the thrush has gone. It's not an STD as such, but you can infect your partner with it. He probably won't develop it (though some men do) but the infection will stay on him and the next time you have sex without a condom, you'll just re-infect yourself with thrush again.

Yeast infection/thrush, caused by a natural imbalance in the body. Can be caught from sex but more commonly develops on its own. Can be a sign of pregnancy. You can get a pill from the chemist to get rid of it.

You need to let the air get to your crotch or all manner of beasties will multiply up there. Lie on your back with your legs up in the air and open, get your partner to pour yoghurt in there. Don't let him eat it afterwards though as he may get your beasties in his mouth....nasty
