If you watch avril lavigne's video for "hot" her contacts are amazing in it! Does anyone know of which store would hold around 30-$40 contatcs like this that last long and don't damage your eyes, and hydrate your eyes well, as if you're not wearing them? Here's the vid:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVnl9QCfNyE here's a pic of my eyes taken a couple months ago:http://www.flickr.com/photos/22371827@N06/?saved=1 so, anyone know of a good store where I can buy cheap, light light light blue contacts in a good well-known brand? Thanks, and happy new years! (and please don't tell me I'm a kid and don't need them, I dunno if I
'll even get them, but in the future, if I can, I will have good info on what i should buy.)

I decided not to wear my glasses anymore, but i'm afraid that if i stop then my vision would get worse. If i don't squint, would my eyes still get worse for not wearing glasses?

My brother told us the other day that he has memories of being able to see in color when he was younger. And that one day, he basically woke up being red/green colorblind. How is this possible? And is it unlike normal colorblindness?

I've always wondered. Suppose they do dilate your pupils and it turns out you do have accommodative spasms. Yet you still CAN´T see even if your nearsightedness is not "real" but due to the spasms. Do you still need to wear glasses? How is this solved?

I had them once, but my prescription is too thick for them to possibly fit comfortably and not scratch my cornea so I couldn't wear them. How should I bring up the conversation?

Ok so last night my eye started to hurt, and it kept on having this green gunk on it. The tears are like soapy at first and then sticky. This morning when I woke up it was like glued shut and I had to open it with my hands. (yes I washed my hands) Now my eye is way smaller than my other eye...What is this?

Okay I have had bad eye site, not seeing clearly after about two or three yards without glasses or contacts. I got contacts this year and after the first few months I began to keep them in for a few days, then a week or two, finally I would keep them in a whole month (They are monthly) Well normally I would take them out and instantly putting new ones in, so I thought my eyes where just adjusting. But just about a 1/2 hour ago I took out my contacts and I still can't see clearly past 14 inchs.

So is this permenant and should I get my eyes checked out?

I think I have pink eye! One of my eyes is bright pink all over the white part, and is watery and sensitive to light. The other eye is fine. I've never had pink eye before so I don't know if it is for sure, but the big problem here is that I have to go to a huge fancy new years eve party tomorow night =/
If my condition is indeed pink eye, is there anything I can do to cure it or make it better at least or less noticable before tomorow night? =(

I remember learning that there are only two eye colors: brown and blue. Every other eye color is a result of these two combinations. Now I keep hearing about genes for every eye color. Can someone straighten this out for me? Are there just genes for brown and blue eyes, and every other tone (including green) comes from this, or what? Thanks!

I used to go to the little beauty store and buy sample colored contacts to wear when I went out on the weekends and such. That was until I got a "corneal epithelium abrasion" from ill fitting contacts....yeah, yeah, I know- my own dumb fault.

After it got better, I decided it would be best if I got fitted for contacts, so I went and got an Rx and ordered some contacts that were my size.

My question is: can some people not wear contacts?

My vision is far worse (BLURRY), and the contacts almost seem to fog over. I have tried base curves and all sizes (remember that samples I used to buy were all sorts of sizes) and medians of 13.8-14.5

I have never put a contact lens in and not blur up an hour after insertion. They are EXTREMELY dry and no matter how many rewetting drops I add, nothing. Still blurry and annoying. Kudos to those that have to do this daily. I got the Acuvue 2 Colors because I heard they are good for comfort. *sigh*

Any thoughts?

I bought a pair of RainbowLens color cosmetic lens. They came in 2 seperate packs (1 eye contact in each) with a little (about a teaspoon) full of Solution. And since I have 2 little sisters who are very touchy, the solution wasted. So I filled the things with water and put the contacts back in there until I wear them again so they won`t dry out. Water`s been in the thing for about a day and a half now. Is this safe? Will the water instead of solution cause any problems? Will they completely ruin the lens? HELLLPPP!

The strength I need are the same in both eyes, so I don't need a special order. Are some reading glasses better than others? I've bought reading glasses for a dollar in dollar stores, but it's hard to judge quality when psychologically you may be thinking "These can't be much good if they're only a dollar." On the other hand, I might think "I bought these reading glasses from an optometrist. They must be better." What's the truth?

I am quite near-sighted and have worn glasses (now contacts) since childhood. I had planned to get LASIK as soon as my Rx became stable. Recently I came across some Web sites made by LASIK "victims" who claim to have had some terrible, permanent side effects (dry eye, double vision). Anyone here had a similar experience, or know someone who has?
