I've looked Sears, JC Penney and LensCrafters but none of them list what they charge for eye exam or if it is free with eye glass purchase (except JCP for $129 for 2 eyeglasses which is pricey for me and I only need one good pair). Thanks.

....leave well alone, if there is nothing seriously wrong?

my visual acuity doesnt seem quite what it was, and at night..lights seem a bit more blurred, but apart from that...everything is ok.

do i just have to accept a slight deterioration with time, or is there something i should be doing, that might restore perfect vision?

i have never used anything for my eyes, believing that anything i use as a crutch will only weaken my sight, but should i really be using something for instance when my eyes feel really dry?

While trying to get an eyelash out of my eye i realised that theres these weird holes on our eyelids. If you pull the skin of ur cheek a bit so you can see the rim of the bottom eyelid you will find a small hole. I just noticed this and though I'd share it with you.....anybody know why they are there?

For example, I just saw one that I thought was nothing, but they said it was 22. But I'm sure I can see the color blue. Could someone please help me!?

I have consulted 4/5 eye doctors and also patients who had cataract operations. Doctors advised that cataract operation is advisable at any time i.e. any stage of disease and not to wait until ripe stage of cataract whereas some suggested that cataract has to be operated when it is ripe, the same confusion is in the advise of patients. Please give guidance on this subject. There are 3/4 TYPES of operation procedures. Which is the safe and best procedure for cataract operation? I am staying in Mumbai - India.

In other words, why would someone need different focal correction for near vs far or reading vs driving? Is it correcting two unrelated focal defects? Or do such defects have a characteristic that the same defect needs different correction for near vs far?

my eyes look like kind of like this:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/terenzever/215279121/
except for mine have a blue ring around the outside and then inside there is green and it fades into light brown. which basically means my eyes have a circle of blue, inside that is a circle of green, and inside that is a circle of light brown. What causes this? Is this common? Is it hereditary because my mom has blue/grey eyes and my dad has hazel?

I'm wondering if it's possible to make your eyes look in opposite directions, like the reverse of crossing them. I can do it with my vision a tiny amount, but nothing significant enough for anyone to see if they're looking at me.

I had cataract surgery on my right eye Dec. 5.I had a lens put in. My eye gradually got better, but then this morning at 4a.m. I lost the vision that I had gotten. It's worse than it was before I got the surgery. Everything is very blurry, I can make out shapes and tell light from dark, but that is it, and its only in my right eye, I can still see out of my left. I have had no, problems at any of the follow up visits, and don't go back until Feb 23 to start surgery for my left eye. Has anyone had this problem before. As you know its the holidays,I called the emergency # for my doc but have yet to hear from him, and I am very much worried.
One last thing last night, I was watching tv and noticed like a gold ball go across my eye?? But I could still see. please if anyone has any info I would love to know. I hope this is normal.

Thanks
