I'm still a LITTLE swollen and I noticed the very last tooth on my upper jaw is a little misaligned, is that normal? Also my bite is still not correct

I had braces for four years then i was put on retainers, I never wore my retainers now my teeth are spacing out again. If i wear my retainers now, will it help?

I got my tooth extracted 2 weeks ago, its formed a blood cloth but is it possible infection can spread to the tooth next to it, anyone ever had this before where after extraction another tooth seems to be infected?

I am 5 months pregnant and I am healthy, taking my vitamins, and everything is normal. However, the last couple of days either the tops of my top/front 8 or so teeth or the bottoms of my gums near those teeth are sore - I can't really tell which. The gums are not red or swollen that I can tell. Also, my gums are not bleeding when I brush my teeth.

Is this normal? Has anyone had this? I know that pregnancy can cause tooth/gum changes but there is usually swelling or blood involved, right?

and now there is a sore there that has been there for 5 days and isn't getting any better. I can't eat, drink, smile, etc. without it hurting. Acidic and salty foods make it sting even more. What can I do to help soothe the sore and make it go away faster? Thanks!

I have white teeth but I want them brighter (like the celebrity's teeth), and I was wondering what would you prefer, taking good care of your teeth (I was planning on buying a $200 SoniCare toothbrush) or using those whitestrips, trays, etc.?

I already have a $20 Oral-B toothbrush. I brush in the morning with Crest VividWhite toothpaste from 1.5~3 minutes and after that I use Crest Whitening mouthwash for 1 minute. Before going to sleep, I brush my teeth with Crest VividWhite Night toothpaste from 1.5~3 minutes and after that I use Crest Glide Floss with Scope on all my teeth, then I use the Crest Whitening mouthwash for 1 minute.

My dentist said that since I removed the bottom tooth the top one will have to go since it doesn't have a place to rest. Is there anyone out there living happily with only top wisdom teeth?

I'm taking Amox as of 2 a.m. this morning. How long before it kicks in? I am in pain... gotta go to dentist.... just waiting for this to kick in and start killing the infection. I understand that Amox is not a pain killer but anitbiotics work on infection which causes pain... so I know it will help. Can someone please advise. I have no dentist until January 10th. Thanks for your help.

I was charged $1,350 EACH for two porcelain crowns that I just had put in. They were done by a general dentist. Was I ripped off? I really feel like I was. I'm trying to do some research and figure out if I should be going to a different dentist who doesn't charge as much, because this is just ridiculous.

Hi all,

I have just turned 19 recently and was at the dentist today and was expected to pay the bill as according to them Ias I am 19 I have to pay for my dental treatment !

I am 19 and in full time education with a bursary.... should I have to pay for treatment ?

(they gave me a form to 'help' with the costs as I have a low income)

any advice ?

I got my all 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed on Friday Morning (its now Monday) After they were removed on Friday i went home and was in and out of sleep after all the anesthesia..sp? anyways i don't remember anything. Plus i didn't want to keep the cold ice packets on my face which would have probably helped me out a lot. Well its now Monday and my face is still VERY swollen. Huge! i look like a 400 pound chipmunk! and tonight is New Years Eve and i was hoping to party with my friends, but it seems that that idea has been shot to hell. I'm over not being able to go out tonight, but i was just wondering how much longer I'm going to be swollen. I even had to call in and take off work. Thats how horribly swollen it is. Anyways Can someone tell me how long i will be swollen for, and how long will it be tell I'm in the safe zone of dry socket? thank you so much! all answers are greatly appreciated!

I had 4 veneers put on my upper teeth and a crown replaced 4 months ago. I've been back twice to get them trimmed and polished as I was complaining they were getting darker. they're poreclein!

Last week I went back for another veneer to make my mouth more symethrical. I've noticed the new veneer is brighter than the others!

What I also noticed from day 1 was that when I look in the mirror the crown is alot whiter than my veneers, to me it stands out! the veneers come across as yellow too, these are the lightest shade apparently! in bright line yeah they are white, other than that they are yellow!

Also when I first had this done my teeth were straight, now one of the front teeth is edging outwards and it's visible.
I asked her about this when I went for the other veneer fitted and she told me the tooth was definately firm and wasn't moving around. She edged some of the veneer off to make it look less misaligned but I paid 2K for all this, what crap!
