I got my tooth extracted 2 weeks ago, its formed a blood cloth but is it possible infection can spread to the tooth next to it, anyone ever had this before where after extraction another tooth seems to be infected?

Go back to the dentist, if the tooth was pulled properly it shouldn't be the way it is now, get it fixed before it gets to the other teeth, infections travel you need antibiotics.

it is generally not seen that infection can pass on to the tooth next to the it,unless the adjacent tooth had already been infected and has not been extracted.the bllod clot formed is most probably a sign of healing nd not infection. dr.kapil garella

Had my wisdom tooth out and it formed a clot, but 2 weeks later there was residual blood and fluid left underneath the clot, it burst with a little pressure! YUK! But it was much better then. It might be that. Good luck. Happy New Year.

You may have an abscess where the tooth root connected to the jaw tissue. Did your dentist give you a prescription for an antibiotic? If not, call him/her immediately as you can end up with more trouble if it isn't treated. The supportive bone tissue could be compromised by the infection and affect adjacent teeth. It can also get into your system and give you other problems in its advanced stages.

Any infection in the jaw area can be dangerous, as the poisons could find their way directly to the brain... seek professional help!

If your tooth cavity was infected - you'd know about it. It's like a pain I cannot describe...

Infection in dental cavitities tends to remain centralised though it's the gum it would spread through if it spread, not the teeth exactly.

The infection doesn't drain away, you need antibiotics to treat it.

If you think you've got an infection you should dentist asap for treatment.
