My mother just introduced my 2-year old son to using a pacifier - he has never been interested before, but we just weaned him off the bottle, and she is looking for a replacement to calm him down. Isn't this going to make his teeth crooked? I had an extreme overbite when I was younger, and although I am not positive why I had it, I did use a pacifier. What do you think? I do not want my son to have to get braces in the future, if this is something I can prevent. Thanks.

i just got a cavity filled about 2 hours ago and the dentist gave me a shot of Novacaine. at first i couldnt feel anything, but when the drill got deeper into my tooth i could feel a sharp pain. then, she gave me another shot and the same thing happened. finally, she gave me a big shot of septocaine because its stronger.i cant feel anything at all in my mouth except for a little tingly feeling. how long will the numbness last?

I had a root canal done a few years ago, and I got a porcelain crown put on today...but every time I even tap the crown with the tooth on top I feel pain all the way through my tooth. Also, the left side of my gum hurts and feels like there's a lot of pressure being put on it. All the pain is in turn making my jaw and right ear hurt. Is this normal after you first get a crown put on? Or should I be worried that something is wrong?

I have dental insurance but it covers $2000 a year and I have a feeling this could be more expensive. Is it worth having an implant put in? How much does that cost? I live in California.

I got really sick last year and my teeth went bad fast - I brushed really good, but I was quite critically ill (adrenal insufficiency and pancreatitis) - doing better now.

so they are going to do partials for my top and bottom BUT my bite is terribly out of line and they are doing the partial based on my current bite which is terribly out of line, and basically the problem is my lower jaw is too far forward.
if you have a partial, can they still fix your jaw and bite problems? Would I want to do that?
I actually do want to do that. My jaw hurts all the time. I want relief.
does this make any sense?
how do they do that then? do they put braces on your partials? I'm scheduled to get this done like tomorrow, should I cancel my appointment and not to the partial? (They already took out 7,10 and they are supposed to take out 8,9 tomorrow). I can't believe I got in so much trouble.. even if they do that my bite really needs to be fixed, my jaw hurts all the time.

My brother is 22 and has painful widom teeth that came in earlier this year (maybe it was last year?). Anywho.... He suddenly became very sick today... But not fluish or from food poisening. His teeth have been giving him a lot of greif lately and he said he feels like he's 'dying'.

He is going to try to get them removed soon... Is there anything he can do/take to make him feel better in the mean time???

I just got my braces tightened and I got a chain on my rubber bands [[all the bands are connected now]]. I also wear headgear and I had to tighten that too... I only have 4 brackets, on the top in the middle

I already took 400 mg of aspirin but they still hurt really badly.. any ideas to make them stop hurting?

i need help, because ionoo if its better to use invisalign or juss the normal braces. but i found out that if you use invisalign it'll be quicker, but braces ar like usually 2 years until they come off. soo do you guys know anything about invisalign that can help mee?

I have dental insurance through work. They cover only 60% of the surgery and nothing for consultations. I have 4 wisdom teeth, 3 impacted and 1 is coming through. Is there anything I can do to save more money? Can I call around to different surgeons and ask pricing? Is the gas better or worse than being put under?
