I should be getting braces soon. But all of my wisdom teeth are pushed out about half-way. Would they have to extract them or can the braces go on as is?

I have a huge mouth and was wondering, is there anything they can do to make my maxilla smaller?

What about removing those fang like teeth? I have read that the maxilla can grow in size, even after development, but I am unaware if it can shrink.

hey guys, last night i began my treatment with celexa, an SSRI anti depressant. I took it at 10 PM, started to feel a bit drowsy and had a dry mouth, no big deal.. 2-3 hours later, i began to get a little wired, and i was a bit jittery, but i proceeded to go to sleep in which i did. but when i woke up today, i noticed that the left side of my jaw pops when i open and move my mouth/jaw horizontally and vertically.. guys, this is kind of getting me worried, i did not grind my teeth last night, i was shivering a bit because it was cold, but who doesnt. i hope this isnt something permenent or somethign that i need to go to see a doctor for. please, anyone have any ideas

I'm really worried that people are going to react differently to me. I wouldn't want to sound "big headed" but i'm not ugly just average

I'm 18 in a couple of months which means i will be going clubbing etc and im really worried this is going to ruin my confidence

What would be your opinion be of a 17 - 18 year old with braces

What do you do when you can't afford dental work?....and your teeth really hurt. I was told I'll need a root canal by the dentist last time - but then my dental insurance ran out.

I just went to the dentist today and had a filling. I have dental insurance, but the dentist wanted payment up front for the services.

The receptionist said they require payment in full for the services on the day of service, and then they will send the insurance claim in to the company and eventually I will receive a reimbursement check.

Isn't that what INSURANCE IS FOR??? So you DON'T have to pay?????

I don't handle the cash in my family, so after much arguing about requiring payment up front, the receptionist agreed to let me walk out withouth paying, but expects me to have my husband pay by tomorrow.

It just doesn't seem right that the dentist gets cash up front for the work, and then makes ME wait to get reimbursed by the insurance company... what the heck?

My brother in law is suffering from what we believe is an abcessed tooth. The pain and swelling started on Friday and the swelling has increased somewhat everyday. He has tried to drain it himself a couple times, its not doing a whole lot.The pain has increased the past few days and the abcess seems to be getting 'hard'.Sooo if anyone knows any temp fixes besides salt water,we dont have access to Doc right now or antibiotics,All help appreciated.

I had a dental filling come out in June this year. Tooth became really sensitive but not to touch (just hot and cold stuff)...had the tooth emergency filled (temporary 6 month filling, I was told)...it has now started throbbing painfully (really bad at night)...it is still not painful to touch or put pressure on but hurts just the same...I know I should go back and get it sorted but any ideas what it is or advice on painkillers I should take...unitl I can get an appointment...

My dentist gave me the option of either an implant or bridge to replace a missing tooth. With the implant I'd have to also get a bone graft because there's no bone in that area but I don't want my good teeth ground down by a bridge. The tooth is right in between my front tooth and fang so it will be really visible. If I do get an implant I want to ditch my dentist and go to a specialist because I want it to be really nice and blend with my other teeth. The bad thing is that I've heard both implants and bridges turn green near the gums. Has anyone had experience with either? Recommendations in the San Diego area for an implant specialist?
