I have insurance...and it's for my husband...and further more we actually have two seperate dental ins coverages...so we'll only have to pay $115 oop...however I still think $2000 for 1 tooth is highway robbery!!

A $900 crown???????? I've heard of a root canal PLUS crown costing as much as $1400 but over $1800 seems a bit high.

I go to a dental school for my root canals and crowns and the total cost is around $900.

Mine was $600 something. They put in a titanium post. The crown will cost me about the same price, if I ever go back to the dentist. My insurance picked up most of the cost luckily.

Absolutely!

The endodontist we refer to charges $1100 for a molar root canal... add that to the fee for a core and crown... the total is $2088 for one tooth.

It may seem high, but compared to extracting the tooth and then having a 3-unit bridge made, totalling $2783, it's not a bad deal.
