I had a root canal done on a big tooth, which is mainly filling, three weeks ago tomorrow. There was a bit of pus in the tooth and I know there is only a 50/50 chance. But after the root canal, all I could feel was the bruising and the tooth itself gave no discomfort. But about three days ago, it became tender to touch and I cannot chew properly. I am not getting constant pain, just when my tongue touches the tooth and when I try to eat. Is this possibly a sign that the root canal is failing? Anyone else had this? Serious answers only, thanks.

Umm... I'm male. 16 and I have halitosis. I know the reason behind it and it is being caused by NOT EATING PROPERLY. I'm scared that I might already have ULCER which causes my bad breath and I'm 100 percent positive it is caused by my somewhat ulcer. HELP ME! WheNEVER I take KREMIL-S tablet(for pain in stomach), it goes away for a day.

Any advice? I'm so desperate and I'm tired of this smell!

Last year I had a 3 surface cavity filled. I didn't even know I had this cavitiy until the tooth actually broke over Christmas. I went to the dentist as soon as possible and they filled the tooth. Does this large cavity mean in the future I will need a root canal. I brush and floss my teeth regularly. I don't know why my old dentist missed this huge cavity.

I'm on four 250mg a day Oxytetracycline tablets. Used for acne (even though my face isn't bad for some reason my face has become oily?)

Two Twice a day 250mg.

I've heard these make your teeth yellow? I know it's true, but I've only heard about it effecting children. If these are going to effect my teeth I am immediately ditching the lot and dealing with my problems in other ways.

Will these discolour my teeth? I have 102 tablets to go through. 4 a day. Is the course too short to do anything to my teeth? As much info as possible please.

All help appreciated. Thank you all.

I can see a dentist today easily, but it will take up too much of my time. Time I do not have to waste right now. I have a mid-term tomorrow (a very hard one), and 2 big test that are very important. I cannot make-up these test either, and nor do I want to. I need to study all day for these test. I need to read roughly over 500 pages in total. I've held the pain for 2 days, another 2 days won't be a big deal, I suppose. Does this sound ridiculous? The tooth is broken in half, but it's not gone. It's dangling, but I am trying my best to not have it fall, or else the nerve will be exposed and then I will be in serious pain. I prefer going on Wednesday when I'm done with all my test.

Advice please.

Concentrated mouthwash need to be diluted water before gargled. Does the temperature of water affect the effectiveness of the mouthwash in killing bacteria in our mouth? For example, hot/cold water.

I am 40 years old, I have 32 rotten teeth, some are just roots. I have been feeling sick for years and have abcesses about 3 times a year. I am scheduled to have them all removed under general IV anesthesia, I will not have immediate dentures. I am scared to death since I am very sick anyway that this may kill me, I don't know why I am sick the doctors around here make no effort to ever really diagnose me, I am weak and dizzy most of the time with alot of abdominal cramps and diarreah most days, I dont eat well due to lack of appetite for the only foods available to me. also have a broken foot that is infected, I have taken antibiotics for about a month and have been off them for about 10 days now.
Should I have the surgery ? How long will I be in pain? How long will the surgery take? Will my face swell ? WIll i be on antibiotics again? Any advice or experience is appreciated

ok...a month ago, my tooth was hurting and the dentist says it's an abscess tooth and said i have to have a root canal...they gave me this antibiotics for ten days, three times a day....after the ten days, my tooth doesn't hurt anymore, i can bite with it and it won't hurt.so far my tooth is just fine, it's not getting loose, it's not getting black, my cheeks aren't swollen, i haven't seen any problems..now, my root canal is scheduled a week from now...should i still take the root canal?....my dad says that if it doesn't hurt then it's fine and that it is more important to save your original tooth than to have a jacket...should i still have the root canal done?

Ive tried gum, toothpaste, mouth wash, strips, everything to try and get my teeth to whiten but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know any low cost effective ways to whiten your teeth.
Just a note: i eat a lot and eat practically anything, so something that can prevent stains would be a plus.

Earlier today, I had a creamy white coating on my tongue and then it turned into a creamy yellow coating on my tongue. The inside of my cheeks (inside my mouth) look swollen kind of like they have a lot of tissue in them. I have a red spot on the inside of my cheek and it looked like a big pimple and later a yellow head formed on it. My cheek hurts right now. The spot is sensitive and sore. I've diagnosed myself with oral herpes, oral thrush, moniliasis, and all other things. What would explain my white and yellow tongue, my big red pimple with a yellow head on the inside of my cheek, and my mouth pain. I also have thick and sticky saliva sometimes. My mouth just looks real funy inside! If there is something wrong, how do I get rid o it?

Its not really my tooth, its my gums. They hurt. I had this before and it went away. Should I just wait. Dont say go to the dentist, they were the ones who did this. Any tips on how to focus on something else, playing videogames helps a little.

I know they normally heal from the bottom up. Will this heal from the back to the front? I see a little black in the "bottom" is that the clot? It is hard to tell under the white tissue. I am 3 weeks into my healing process. Will the clot be absorbed or fall out? Not sure how it works. Thanks!
