My teeth are straight, because I have used braces for a few years. However, I feel self conscious because on my upper two front teeth there are scratches on my teeth where it looks like the outer layer has worn off or something. My teeth are still straight, they aren't chipped or anything, I can't even feel the scratches, it's just that they are so obvious and is there a way to fix them, or any methods to make them unnoticeable without the expensive cost of veneers?

I have a tooth/ear infection, and my dentist wrote an Rx for Amoxicillin and I got it filled from my nearby (big name) pharmacy where I have been going for years. So, I take the pill and I get very panicky and get chest pains and take my blood pressure and it is like 180/105 or something like that. The thing is, I've taken Amoxicillin probably upwards of 10 times and have never had a problem.
Part 2: I called the dentist and told him of my reaction and he wrote a script for Ery-Tabs: The same thing, but worse happened, but it happened about 4 or 5 hours after the first dosage: I woke up with a rapid heart beat and had trouble breathing and my blood pressure spiked again. Part 3: It happened again with Keflex. Knock on wood, my normal blood pressure is 120/75 or 80 and I am on some meds for migraines, but there is no interactions reported. The pharmacist said I could be allergic to the binders? How come I wasn't before? Do you think the pharmacy is getting counterfeit drugs?

I have braces, which makes it very hard to dislodge food with brushing and flossing alone. I heard about the Water-Pik, and I would like to try it. So here are a few questions for you:

How much is it?
Where can I find it?
What is it good for? (advantage/disadvantages)

Thanks guys!

I have now got bleeding gums stil so they gave me cordysol mouthwash I used that then I went back with toothache and had to have a root canal. Since all this I have been flossing daily and using the mouthwash But still my gums bleed please help I need this to stop

Whenever I go to read my Email etc on a Tiscali site every image of any woman shown on there, or on any mail I receive, always shows a woman with a huge mouth always open. Why?
I could understand it if they advertised tooth paste or other dental products.

My lymph node on the right side under my jaw is swollen and extremely sore along with the back of my neck when swallowing. I do have an abscess that I discovered a few days ago and am on antibiotics. It has not drained as of yet or burst and cant get in to see a dentist for 3 days should there be any concern? Or are the antibiotics good enough until I can see the dentist in preventing any serious spreading or complications? How long does it take for complications to begin? Any help would be greatly appreciated the abscess is upper mouth right side and the back two teeth and possibly gumline.....

My 12 year old daughter has braces on, and on her back molars, there are rings. The teeth with the rings on them both have a grayish hue. What could this be? When she gets her braces off, will the color go back to normal?

Ok, this is the only place that take appointments on emergency, and I had a serious toothache, so I go in, she wouldnt pull it that day because she didnt know if it was infected, she prescribed some medicine (pills, I dont know which ones) and scheduled an appointment for another time.

While I was there, an assitant, who was also assisting in my last dentists office recognized me and asked me if I had been a patient at the other place and she didnt look happy that I was no longer there. I told this person I wasnt happy with the service there, and that I chose not to go back. (That dentist there I realy think was not only the worst dentist in the city, but also was filling teeth that needed to be pulled, and I suffered worse after she filled these teeth)

So anyway, I didnt show up for my appt. because of that woman, she made me feel so uncomfortable and as if I had done something wrong.

But I realy need to go back but am worried that she will give me a hard time again

Cont..

I had a badly damaged tooth worked on today and it was described as 'the tooth from hell.' I gave the dentist permission to pull it and she said no. She said it may give me trouble in the future... so why not pull it now? It's a upper, rear molar.

I was getting my teeth cleaned and the hygienist was sitting at the end of the dentist's chair leaning over my face. She was quite overweight and her breasts were resting on either side of my head, like those hats that cover the ears.

Please only serious answers.
I have been sucking my thumb while I am sleeping since I was a baby. It's usually only when I am stressed about something and I do it in my sleep so I cannot stop myself. I got my braces off a few years ago and ever since my teeth are on a mission to be horribly crooked. Sucking my thumb has made my two front teeth protrude farther than the others (I have an over bite and cross bite also) and they actually make an imprint on my lip! How can I stop this habit? When I was younger I tried wearing a sock on my hand to bed but took it off while I was sleeping. Also, I have an over bite and cross bite. I have had this ever since I can remember. Could this have been caused from sucking my thumb since birth or is it just bad luck/genetics/whatever?

For a healthy adult? My friend is at loss, his dentist told him he can either go for local or general anesthesia, it makes no difference to her, people do either way. My friend is asking me as if I know, but I have no personal experience beyond fillings. Money is apparently not an issue.

Ever since my friend got his divorce hes been super depressed and just let himself go completely. All of his teeth are rotting and when we were out to eat the other day one of his front teeth actually just fell right out. Hes bummed and has no idea what to do because his job does not offer dental insurance. Can someone please tell me where he could go to get his teeth looked at since he has no insurance, also keep in mind he has a minimum wage job( he basically makes no money). Hes going to need his whole mouth done, maybe a dental school, or anywhere else? Its just really sad to watch this happen. Please help! Thanks.
