i had one 10 weeks ago so i can have a dental implant, bone took from lower jaw (chin).

now i don't know if its my imgenation or if i was getting one before, but i'm sure ive got a slight bum chin coming on :/

i got recommed to one of the best surgeons in the area and he garenteed me noone would be able to tell i had bone removed from there (except maybe if i felt around the area).

but yeah any experiences with these, could it be still swelling or what, it doesn't look like theres any swelling there - just seems i have a slight dint there.

I wore braces for a little under a year, mostly to close a gap between my two front teeth. I had the braces taken off yesterday and this morning when I woke up, you could see that the gap had opened again slightly. I get my retainers tomorrow. My question is whether the retainer will close the little gap back up?

I am not getting one. But I was wondering how long they usually last. I've heard a lot of bad things like they eventually break and the tooth decays, but I was too sure how reliable my source is. lol. Also maybe if someone could explain how a Root Canal is performed. Mostly wondering because it sounds interesting, and sort of gross and brutal. lol.

I just got done with one of the worst experiences of my life. The boney projections of the teeth were curved, thus lots of drilling and cracking involved.

Anyhoo... I'm worried the guy didn't prescribe antibiotics... only steroids and vicadin.

Should I go back and demand antibiotics? If you look at my ask history, I am a bit of a hypochondriac.... I'm now paranoid that i'll get an infection!

FYI: I got my other wisdom teeth removed 2 years ago... and got really sick from the amxycillin. But don't i need SOME type of antibiotic?

I have been dealing with wisdom tooth issues- but after I heal up from this I am going to have to have periodontal therapy.

I have been so stressed out with the wisdom teeth and dry socket that I haven't had much time to think about the gum disease issue.

Now I am starting to get worried. They told me they could see I was already experiencing some bone loss.

I am only 27, my teeth LOOK to be in ok shape. I am just worried about losing my teeth now.

Can you tell me about your experience with this and/or what I can expect?

I've been thinking about getting porcelain veneers, but I'm afraid they might be too expensive for me. I wouldn't mind getting composite veneers if they were cheaper...even if they are of lesser quality. I don't know much about them. Any information about procedure and cost would be helpful.

I know the locals will be skiddish at first, but I hope to teach them about the ways of floss and toothbrush, and that toothpaste is really nothing to fear.
