Is it dangerous to have a tonsil stone in your throat for a long period of time? For a few days I felt something in my throat on the left side. I thought it had something to do with that it started a few days after I had my upper left wisdom tooth extracted. (I'm still not convinced it's not related.) I looked with a flashlight and saw a white spot on what I think is my left tonsil. When I went for a recheck with the oral surgeon to see how the tooth extraction site was healing, I showed it to him, he said it had nothing to do with the wisdom tooth and that it was a tonsil stone. He gave a syringe to irrigate my throat with, and said I probably had these before since I have sinus problems all my life, but never noticed. Anyway, the spot is still there, but it is not bothering me as much and I think it MIGHT be a little smaller. I am using a waterpik and am gargling often, but its still there. I have a bad gag reflex so I can't try to get it any other way. Will it come out on its own?

I asked yetserday about a crown problem, It popped off a while ago and I had it put back on last week, it tastes like there is something in it, it's gross. People mentioned decay under the crown, but it has had 2 root canals and a filling, and it's barely a nub of a tooth. The dentist didn't say anything about a cavity when he put it on last week, could there be a cavity he didn't see? He would have filled a cavity before he put it on right? I am doing some high velocity gargling and am headed to town for a waterpik.....It still won't stop tasting bad...I didn't have this problem while the crown was off and I didn't see any cavities...what do you think? Is there some kind of "grout" I could use to fill in the gap between my tooth and the crown?

I was told that you're not supposed to brush your teeth after vomiting because it just grinds the acid in rather then waching it away... and to rinse and swish instead.. is this accurate information? just wondering.. I gave someone this advice and I was just wondering if it's correct.. THANKS!

my teeth were white when they were baby teeth, however when my adult teeth came in they were yellow, my doctor told me it might because of medicine during an early age, does any of those whitening products work for me? strips, mouthwash, toothpaste? how bout those hydrogen peroxide and baking soda stuff? or should i just go straight to the dentist do those laser whitening? thanks a bunch!

All of my wisdom teeth are growing in as we speak, my top ones haven't cut through the gums yet ( I can feel my teeth trying to poke out), but they hurt like hell and I can tell they are growing in sideways (towards the cheek) .And my bottoms are 'crowning'. What I want to know is, is it possible to take out my top set even though they haven't broken through yet? They give me a lot of pain and are making both top and bottom teeth really crowded. I know I need to see a dentist and I plan on it, I just want to know if its possible to have them removed.

4 sessions..1 hr.each. sticks something down gum under tooth and puts in poison to kill bacteria. Do you think I should have it done? My teeth seem strong and fine to me.

I have been with the company the longest and have the most experience and my dentist just hired another employee at a higher salary than mine, so he had no choice but to give me a raise but took me to her salary not any higher and I have been there 8 years.

They said the tooth was cracked. But they just ground down the tooth and put a temp crown on until the permanent crown is ready. I still have some pain in the tooth. Should'nt they have done a root canal?

I have all four of mine and they are all the through and in good shape. Dentist is trying to tell me to remove them. Cha Ching! My theory is if it ain't broke don't fix it. I see the dentist every 6 months and no cavities even in the wisdom teeth. Any similar situations?

So I have a dentist appointment today and I am getting my crown seated. I'm worried about how they take off the temporary. Does it hurt?

A couple of months ago I had to have one of my teeth remouved. It is the next to the last one, so fortunatelly it isnt visible. I was singe at that time, but now I have met a nice boy. I am afraid that if he wants to kiss me he could somehow tell that I am missing that teeth. Please dont laught at me, I realise it could sound funny, but I assure you, it isnt.

So, do you think he will be able to tell? Cause if he can, I will swear off dating till I get it fixed!
