A dead tooth IS as the name states dead.
It cant be brought back to life.
Someone mentioned root canal. This is NOT necessary.A root canal is for a diseased tooth, causing pain and with inflammation/infection (abscess) or severe decay.

A root canal basically kills a tooth by removing nerves.IF the tooth is already dead it doesnt need to be "killed".

Good news is you can get a crown on this tooth and it will look perfect.

Go to the dentist, have your teeth seen to.There are very few teeth so terrible they cant be helped.Your dentist will sort your teeth.

Then go for regular check-ups.

Brush and floss your teeth.
If they are sensitive use a softer brush and sensodyne toothpaste-or any paste for sensitive teeth- rinse at night and in the morning with mouthwash.

Dont worry,by seeing your dentist you are solving the problem

Good luck

Alright, if the nerve in the tooth is dead, you definitely need a root canal to prevent an abcess from forming. After the root canal, you can try a combo of internal and external bleaching on the tooth to try and whiten it. If that does not work, then a veneer or even crown may be an option.

Yes, it can. That's was a root canal does. It saves a dead tooth by having all the pulp material cleaned out and replaced with a filler. I've had this procedure done several times. The only alternative to it is extraction.

Once you've had a thorough cleaning and re-instruction on proper oral hygiene and care, you'll be on your way to better oral health! You'll probably have a fluoride treatment done and xrays taken in addition to the cleaning. Once your gums feel better, and the plaque/calculus/tarter is removed, you'll feel better and it will be more comfortable to brush..

Best of Luck~
