4 sessions..1 hr.each. sticks something down gum under tooth and puts in poison to kill bacteria. Do you think I should have it done? My teeth seem strong and fine to me.

Yes. As you get older, the gums tend to shrink away from your teeth, and the bacteria get back down in there. I've had it done, and now use a medicinal rinse daily to prevent it from reoccurring.

I have had surgery three times in the last fifteen years the last being a bone graft which lasted about eight years I am now losing most of my back teeth and trying to save my front teeth. I have not heard of this procedure you are talking about but if it works it would be wonderful my dentist says that people with periodontal problems often have good teeth I had no cavities in the teeth I lost good luck

Periodontal surgery is done when you have receding gums from lack of good oral hygiene,mostly flossing. I had it done but can't really say it helped.Never heard of putting poison in there must be some type of antibiotic
