It comes and goes to the point I forget about it until it comes back. It hurts when I open, chew, spit, or doing various movements with my mouth. It sends a really bad feeling through my whole body. It hurts so bad I start to cry and can't eat.

My 5yr old son has had problems with his toncils for 6mons now, they are kinda large and he has bad breath .Every time I take him to see the doctor they tell me the same thing. To have him gargle with salt water and use a mouth rinse. They say that his toncils arent large enough to be taken out and they did a strep throat test on him and he dont have that. They wont prescribe him an antibiotic if he dont have strep. I have him brush his teeth gargle with salt water and rinse with childrens mouth wash morning noon and night , I also have him eating chicken noodle soup. Has anyone else had this problem and found out a way to fix it? I'm frustrated with the doctors and don't know what else to do.Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Recently I drink alot but I'm still having dry mouth. I can even get really nervous and get a super dry mouth. I heard of a strip, drop or gum or something one time that was for dry mouth. Anyone got any suggestions for something I can get over the counter to help with it?

Before I use to see my gums as dark red. But after getting a dental clean up, and consistently brushing my teeth thoroughly and regularly, my gums have turned into the colour light pink.

So is that healthy? Or does that even mean anything?
Do the colour of the gums in the mouth indicate a state of condition? Ex, if its purple then its unhealthy, if its red then its moderate, etc.

I have a massive underbite. The gap between my top row of teeth and my back row of teeth is about 1.5 cm. Currently I do not have the money to have surgery.

This is merely a radical thought, but if I were to get a chin strap around my head and rig it so that it would push my jaw back while I slept, do you think it would help at all? Or is it really dangerous? I still wear braces (6 years now) so my teeth won't fall out of allignment when they get pushed back

Today I went to the dentist and laughed when the dental tech put a lead apron on me for X-Rays. She asked what I was laughing at and I proceeded to inform her of my medical proceedures over the last four months.

I have had 41 external beam radiations over the last three months. Each treatment consisted of five different positions lasting 47 seconds each. That's 9,635 seconds or 160.58 minutes or 2.68 hours of radiation. I have radiation burns on my groin area that may heal with-in a year, at the rate they are now healing.

There is nothing a below my bellybutton that works the way it did 5 months ago. I had a vasectomy in 1972 so there's no problem there. My wife is 68 years old and I'm 67 and we don't want any children anyway.

Just what is it they are trying to protect?

I was flossing my teeth I felt something fling and when i felt what it was it was a little hard piece of,well either filling or tooth.

I'm scared- it was on my end of one of my chewing teeth (in the back of my mouth, so thankfully nothing noticeable) but now there's a hole.
It didn't hurt though.

I have great burshing and flossing habbits, so is it possible this was my tooth? or was it a filling?
it looks tooth colored and it flat on one side and round on the other.

what should i do though?

I realize alot of this needs to be gone over with the surgeon performing the implant, if I decide to go this route.

Back history. Broke one front tooth, fractured the other when I was 11. Had crowns put in. Fast forward 10 years, the tooth that had broken initially re-broke underneath the crown, my dentist says he thinks it failed due to microfractures from the impact of the original break. So we go over the options. He tells me that he couldn't gaurentee how long a post/crown would last due to my particular case (deep bite, bruxisim, condition of the remaining tooth). He grinds down the tooth to the gum line and removes some of the gutta percha to seat a temporary post/crown. The remaining tooth fractures.

I otherwise have a healthy jaw. A crown or a bridge isn't ideal in this situation, and I was too distraught after finding out that an implant is the best option.

What have been your experiences with implants? What kind of implant? What are the risks? What is the recovery time?

Have you taken wisdom teeth out? Does it hurt the process? They gave me option of sleeping or being awake.. I was thinking sleeping but I mite get ride after an hour of the surgery being done. I called the office they said someone needs to be there with you right after surgery is done.. they cant let me lie down there for hour or something after its done. I am thinking should I just be awake them? Wouldnt that be scary cuz I will be able to feel a bit of moving teeth.. and see doctor? which one would you do and what are your experiences?
