Call ahead and ask about payment plans. MOST dental offices - and not just clinics or dental schools, but qualified, reputable dentists - offer a payment plan of some type. You can't lose anything by calling. But you DO stand to lose some teeth if you put it off!

Go to the American Dental Association website (www.ada.org) and click on "Find a Dentist" and type in your city and state. A listing of dentists in good standing with the ADA will come up with their names and phone numbers. Call these people, not just the cheapest guy in town. Get it done right! Your health is at stake and as I said, there are plenty of dental offices out there willing to work with you on payment.

Sometime you can look in your local newsletter or paper or even call offices to see if the have a new pt. discount. Sometimes if you pay for xrays you can get a basic cleaning for free.
There are also clinics for low income people. Check withyour local Health Services.
You can even see if there is a Dental school in your area and there may be a wait list but they do the work at a reduced fee under the supervision of the teaching Dentist or Surgeon

Every answer was good, except for the one that talked about voting for a certain party. Some people just have the mind set that the government owes them something.

Prioritize, that's all I can tell you. If you are spending an average of $30/month on internet and an average of $50/month on DISH TV, and have a cell phone bill, and/or eat out to fast food more than 1x a week, then you're not prioritizing. Those aren't all necessities. You'd be amazed at how much money you'd have left over at the end of each month if you cut out what isn't necessary. You can find the money, it just takes some sacrifice. What you shouldn't be willing to sacrifice is your teeth!

Well you have a few options and not getting it done is not the best option.
1. You can go to a dentist and try to see if they can give you a payment plan

2. go to a dental school for low cost care

3. Call information and refferal in your area and see if they can direct you to a low cost or charity dental clinic in your area

4. Some state health insurrances will cover dental for children and tooth removal for adults (if it is that bad that it needs to be done)

Do not give up on working out a way to get this done or it will get worse and cost way more in the long run

Discount dental plans are affordable and offer major discounts at the dentist's office. Go to http://www.lowpriceddentalplans.com to see which plans are available for your zip code.

There are places that offer cheap, if not, free dental care. In Tampa, there is a place about 10 miles outside of town that will do dental work for cheap. They are professional, but there might be some limitations.

Trust me...find the money...you really cannot afford NOT to!

The situation isn't going to get better on it's own.
