Colgate, for example, make several different types of toothpaste such as Whitening, Extra Whitening, Tartar Control etc....

Why don't they just add all the good bits in to one toothpaste and just sell that?

What is the best everyday toothpaste on the market today that really whiten's teeth?

i have lost a tooth on my upper back ,finally the dentist have suggested me to do bridge,he wil extract 2 teeth n do scaling..i am really scared i dont know how is the procedure,can any of u explain me how is it done....and as wel thr is second option ...i can have denture on the lost tooth...so which one would be better

I had my two lower and my upper right wisdom teeth removed last week. Today the doc removed the gauze from the lower sites. they were kinda sore and i had to take advil, is this dry socket? The advil made the pain go away tho.

And another thing. can i use mouth wash?

My dental office and dental hyginest always tell their patients to use Lysterine (any kind) for better dental health. Does anyone know if the new Crest Rinse is better (without the burn) or if Lysterine is in fact the best. I now am in good standing with my teeth and want to stay that way. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently lost a filling and was scheduled for a root canal, I had intense pain in my ear and the dentist office told me that top teeth don't affect you ears only bottom teeth do, I had the root canal and my tooth and ear still hurts, it is a top bicuspid

I get canker sores pretty often everything over the counter does nothing but irritate and the stuff my doctor prescribes "everytime" does no good.

I suffer TMD, it has been getting worse. I read about some night guards you can buy at places like Walgreens. Are these advised for people with bad cases of TMD? Or should I just fork over the money at the dentist?

I am getting my impacted wisdom teeth taken out August 2. When the the oral surgeon sedates you, does he sedate you partially or completely? I also have a vocational evaluation taking place August 7 at 9:00 A.M. How long is the recovery process and will I be recovered enough to go to this appointment on August 7?

alrighty, so my oral surgeon used dissolvable stitches on me and they went disappeared after a week. i have no pain, no soreness, some tenderness at times, but i have these holes where i guess the teeth were and when i eat, food gets stuck in them and i'm worried about bacterial infection. I just wanted to know if this was normal because i've never heard anyone mention it post extraction...

have good dietary habits, brush, rinse with salt water, hydrogen peroxide, etc. etc. etc. and my gums keep receding and pockets deepening. What is going on???? What could cause this? My mom took really good care of her teeth too and still had periodontal problems.

My mom got the zoom process and it did not really work for her. Her dentist said that she does not have the kind of teeth that can get whiter. He was not the first dentist that told her this - 10 years earlier another dentist told her the same thing.

Here's the thing though: With all the advances in technology such as BrightSmile, Crest Strips, and ZooM! its really hard for me to believe it that nothing can whiten her teeth.

But I just have to ask to make sure!
