I had my two lower and my upper right wisdom teeth removed last week. Today the doc removed the gauze from the lower sites. they were kinda sore and i had to take advil, is this dry socket? The advil made the pain go away tho.

And another thing. can i use mouth wash?

Definitely not for the first 24 hours after the extraction....that's what my dentist said about rinsing/spitting. If you rinse gently, it shouldn't be a problem. You'll want to ask your dentist just to make sure ;)

Funny that you mention wisdom teeth...I just got mine pulled today!! Ouch.

Ask the doc. After I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed I was allowed to rinse my mouth with salt water and brush the front of my teeth as long as I didn't touch the back. Good luck!
