crown to be destroyed during removal only to discover that the pain is being refered to from somewhere else. Also, just what causes periodontal pockets-my hygiene and dietary ways are both excellent and yet I have deep pockets.

What should I do? The temporary filling has evidently come out. Now the stuff they packed into the root canal is coming out. Evidentaly all of the dentists in my are closed on Friday's, so I really don't know what to do. I don't think I have another option but to wait until Monday and try to get in with my dentist, or the dentist that did the root canal. Any advice would be appreciated. I did an exhaustive search and cannot find anything on Google.

like dentists use cleaning utensils to scratch off plaque and some of the utensils may have germs, even if they clean them.

1. This is no exaggeration. I brush twice a day, I floss once a day and I rinse with listerine in the morning.....but I have a tooth ache. Its a tooth that I got a root canal on about 4 years ago. Before I started taking such good care of my teeth. What's the deal? I take great care of my teeth. I have been for the past 3 years.

2. I have no dental plan. Before I was in the military and it was free. Does anyone know any good dental plans? I'm a full time student living off the GI bill and a minimum wage job. So I have a fairly low income.

helping with tartar cavities gums etc......

I had an implant place on my top front tooth about two and a half years ago. I had a bone graft done first, as I had been missing the tooth since childhood (I am 26 now) and the bone loss was significant. The surgery went well and I healed nicely over the course of a year.

However, about a year ago I noticed that the gumline on the implant, as well as the gumline on the two teeth on either side of the implant, are starting to recede. I brush twice daily, floss every evening before bed, and do a fluoride rinse. I don’t drink soda or coffee, or smoke, and take excellent care of my teeth.

The gumline has receded to the point that I have a large space between my front tooth and my eye tooth, and it looks like a dark triangle. When I asked my dentist about it who did the surgery, he said that this sometimes happens, even with good oral hygiene, as gum tissue doesn’t adhere well to artificial teeth.

I worry that a gum graft would be a waste of time and money, as the gum tissue would likely recede again.

Has anyone else had experience with this issue, and if so, how did you solve it?

Thanks for your help!

I was sick this morning and the inside surfaces of my teeth at the front have felt really weird since, it feels as though the acid in the vomit has taken a layer off them or something. I know it can erode enamel, but I wouldn't have thought it could do it being sick once. But they definitely feel really strange now against my tongue, I can't really describe it, it's almost as though my tongue is kind of squeaking against them or something.

Anyone know what's going on? Or how I can get them to feel like normal again?

I am considering dental implant surgery to secure a full set of upper dentures with implanted titanium pins. Since no crowns will be applied to the pins, is this a less expensive and more practical way of regaining the use of my teeth. Are there any dental implant titanium pins designed for securing dentures without having to use adhesive?

crown end up getting destroyed by removing it, if it has been permanantly placed? The sensation I have, under my crown, is one that it fills full of pressure and wants to explode. The gum below it is also very tender. My dentist is out of town and I wondered if you could give me some feedback on this. Could there be an abcess under the crown or what?
