MY daughter woke up this morning with a sore on the side of her gums, looks like a pimple but not quite sure what it is. Its really hurting her. Could anyone tell me what they think it could be? Thanks.

I recently noticed a small chip on my tooth. It does not make my teeth look bad because the chip is relatively small (it's not like half my tooth is gone). However, I'm concerned the tooth may be prone to decay or rot because the inside of the tooth is now exposed.

Hello, I am 24 and recently (started several years ago though) have had tooth ache to the degree where I can't go to sleep - it is keeping me awake. You see I brush them at LEAST twice a day they are very white, I WILL go to the dentist, it is just professionals can get it wrong - maybe it is not a cavity........... maybe someone out there has an idea of what it could be (I have small cavities.... but not to the point where it should be causing me such pain).
Thank you I appreciate all advice!
p.s. I know this sounds desperate but please I am in pain......

In the past two days I have had: soft gums, bleeding easily, missed period, massive appetite gain, massive weight loss, pain in my teeth, and acne. I am really afriad of what is going on, but most doctor's offices are closed around my town and it is extremely difficult to drive because there is an ice storm. By the way, I always brush my teeth twice a day and floss once a day and wash my face and moisturize. Does anyone know what these symptoms might mean?

I have all the symptoms for an abscessed tooth around both implants. Normally, the dentist performs a root canal to preserve the tooth. How do they treat this?

I floss and brush my teeth daily and see the dentist twice a year for cleaning and checkup. Most of the time everything is fine. But now the dentist wants to sell me a $3.00 Tongue scraper to scrape bacteria off my tongue. It looks like a tooth brush but with a loop at the end instead of a brush. He said it would prevent tooth decay and bad breath by removing bacteria. Could there be anything to that? I never heard of it before.

I need a root canal I was told but some people told me getting it pulled would hurt less. I'd have the tooth missing but its a lower back tooth so it wouldnt be seen when I smile. I just want what is going to hurt the least basically. also I hear dentists push for root canal because they get more money that way.

NEARLY 11 months after a 14-year-old Florida boy died after a beating at a juvenile boot camp, seven ex-guards and a nurse have been charged with aggravated manslaughter.

Martin Lee Anderson was repeatedly kneed and punched by at least seven guards as the nurse stood by. It was later found he died from suffocation.

The beating, captured on videotape, prompted repeated outcries from Anderson's family, black lawmakers and civil rights leaders, and spurred a daylong sit-down by college students outside the office of the Florida Governor, Jeb Bush.

I was suppose to get braces years ago, But my parents have been avoiding taking me because they know how much of a fuss I am. I'm basically dentists worst enemy. My gums are extremely sensitive and I know they'll have to extract a good amount of teeth before braces since my teeth are crowded. I'm extremely scared for when the day comes, Since my father said he had to have braces for six years, And I'm also afraid since my last cleaning visit, In which felt like a saw was being shoved into my mouth, They didn't give me any form of novocain. Does anybody have a personal experience with this so I could know what to expect? Thanks for the help<3

I had a root canal today because one of my molars had a cavity. It was filled and then became very sensitive to cold and pressure. It was filled and refilled 4 times. It was to the point that anything I drank had to be room temp, and that even bothered me. So I had a root canal, and I had a drink today and it still is sensitive to temp. Is it normal for the tooth to be sensitive even after the nerve is out? I thought that the root canal would make the tooth "dead". Anyways I guess my question is, does anybody know if after a root canal if it is normal for the tooth to be temp sensitive and does it go away? HELP!
