Something on my daughters gums?

MY daughter woke up this morning with a sore on the side of her gums, looks like a pimple but not quite sure what it is. Its really hurting her. Could anyone tell me what they think it could be? Thanks.

My daughter had this last year, and I took her in to the dentist. She told me to rub benadryl on it, and it helped.
