Is the oral health of a person who brushes after every meal better than a person who only brushes twice a day? This case assumes everything else being equal. They both brush properly and avoid too many sweets between meals etc.

I am having a regular molar (right before the wisdom tooth) extracted onthursday and I'm really scared about it!! Its had 3 unsucessful fillings (all fell out) and it abcessed this summer. I have braces, so it has a band around the entire tooth. What's the removal going to be like? I think I'm supposed to be prescribed an oral sedative (pill form) before the appointment. Will this really help much with my fear????

has come out of one of the bands....so...i was able to cut part of it with a toenail clipper...but there's still a small, but very sharp piece still there and I need to cut it. I don't have a wire cutter or anything...and I don't think the toenail clipper will work properly.

I have a couple white/clear bumps on my bottom inner lip. They're poppable, and a gooey, clear liquid comes out, but they just keep coming back. I try not to do anything about them, but they just get bigger until I pop them again. What could these be and how can I get rid of them?

i have a wisdom tooth that has been comming in for about 2 yrs.it growing in side ways.the dentist said it would never come in because my mouth was too small no room.but now its hurting my whole upper side and my gums are sore.is this going to stop.i think from pushing threw it messed up one of my teeth that had a filling in it.this has been comming in for 2 yrs but now hurting is this normal?

ok, well, how do you get rid of bad breath? even if you like brush everyday (twice) well and floss ahd everything how can you make it go?like, why is it happening?how come some ppl dont even have to worry ABOUT IT?

I have to take my son to get braces on Friday. He told me some kids in his class had two appts.. one to get top braces and another a week or so later to get the bottom done. Is this the norm or do they normally do tops and bottoms on the same visit?

Every night my son brushes his teeth while I brush mine, and sometimes when he's done I'll go back and rebrush. and for the first time I counted his teeth and he only had 20 teeth. Now before you think I'm a meat head I'm an engineer not a health care or dental professional. I beleive I have a cavity on the bottom left side of my mouth. I experiance tenderness every now & then & latley I have had a numbing feeling on the left side of my face on around the jaw bone area. I also have all of my wisdom teeth. I am 32. What happends if a cavity is left untreated? With out insurance it gets pretty pricy.........
