nothing bad. it just goes thru your system, nothing to worry about if thats why your asking. If your asking for a detailed thing on how it goes thru your system I dont know that.

You sort of freak out a bit and feel guilty because of the old myth that it will stick to your ribs and take 7 years to get out. Then in about 10 minutes you've forgotten about it and are chewing another piece.

The "gum will stay in your stomach for years" thing is a myth. It will go through the same process every other piece of food does.

It comes out pretty much the same as it went in - just a bit softer.. but the colour would be a different story! (You can't digest gum - it's like rubber)

It usually passes through you. But sometimes it ends up in your appendix, where it sits and festers. Then you get appendisitus.
