Hello, I am 24 and recently (started several years ago though) have had tooth ache to the degree where I can't go to sleep - it is keeping me awake. You see I brush them at LEAST twice a day they are very white, I WILL go to the dentist, it is just professionals can get it wrong - maybe it is not a cavity........... maybe someone out there has an idea of what it could be (I have small cavities.... but not to the point where it should be causing me such pain).
Thank you I appreciate all advice!
p.s. I know this sounds desperate but please I am in pain......

cavity or not, you can get an infection or decay in the root, and that will cause really bad pain,,,, you need to have it checked out,,,, sometimes root decay can happen without any outward sign of a cavity,,, i had one once, that suddenly hurt, then had a darken line appear down my tooth,,, but yet the outside of the tooth was fine

Even the smallest, tinist cavities in a tooth can cause pain, the tooth nerves are so sensitive. My sister has perfect looking white straight beautiful teeth, but underneath seriously need work done and you wouldnt even know it just by looking at her.

You might need to get a root canal if the pain is really bad. Definately go to a dentist and get checked out, that would be your best bet. If it is a root canal, that would really suck, cause those hurt like hell.

just because it's white on the outside doesn't mean there isn't damage to the root or maybe you grinde your teeth while you sleep which makes you very sore, either way-see a dentist- nip it in the bud.
