Make sure nothing is trapped under dentures.
Rinse regularly with sightly salted water - but NOT vigorously, you will disturb your healing gums!
Did you have an abscess to start with??
Hey your husband will love you no matter what!

Take the denture out and smell it. Is it this that smells? Or does your breath smell with out it being in? You have had a minor surgical procedure, and it it normal to expect a slightly funny smell after only 2 days! Sometimes your breath will smell after an extraction, as the blood acts a great area for bacteria, so if this doesn't improve pay a visit to your dentist and see if it is all healing ok. Also make sure you take the denture out over night, as this will imrpove the overall health of your mouth.

Ask the dentist if a 'bridge' is possible. This is where the false tooth is supported by the teeth either side rather than on a plate. May be expensive but worth it I think.
I have two lots of bridgework and no problems.

You could always eat a clove of fresh garlic( get yr hubby too also) then you will both smell the same. Hey it even keeps cold away! Seriously though. go back to yr dentist as there shouldn't be a problem with smell if you have kept yr mouth clean. Good luck!

Remove your plate after you have eaten and give it a good rinse, and at night put it in a jar with steridant. And continue to clean your own teeth twice a day morning and night. To be extra sure rinse your mouth out after cleaning your teeth with an antibacterial mouthwash. Sheila.

You have to keep it clean. Also, drinking water is not only good for you, and essential, it helps to keep your mouth clean. But when there is a foreign object in your mouth, you just have to keep the right products around, such as mouthwash and breath fresheners. At least you're conscious of it. That's the first thing.

You may have an infection from the socket of the tooth, try salt water rinsing, half a glass of coffee hot water and half a table spoon of salt.

probably a good idea to go to the dentists again and explain what is happening. otherwise try masking it with listerine or brush your teeth before you kiss your husband.

Try getting some dental floss to clean out any nastiness that has been left behind... i hope this helps good luck.

Keep taking it out and clean it more often, and keep washing your mouth out, good luck and happy Christmas.
