My husband used Clove Oil. Tastes like heck, but numbs the spot.

You can take up to 4 advil or ibuprofen at a time (800mg) that is prescription strength. Just make sure you eat something or drink some milk when you take the medicine. When I had my 4 wisdom teeth surgically removed the doctor gave me clove oil, but it tastes disgusting. You should really have your tooth looked at because it may be that it needs to come out.

First of all, you need to have that wisdom tooth come out before more damage is inflicted to your gums and surrounding teeth. I used to have a clover medicine that helped but I can't remember the name. Good luck.

If you haven't already seen your dentist, it would be a pretty good idea to- they may have the best suggestions. Give them a call. Other than that try not to put too much pressure on it. Keep ice on it to reduce swelling.

Make a strong infusion of dried sage or thyme and garlic with this. They are both highly antiseptic herbs and it is usually ifection which causes the pain.

Aspirin on the tooth and let it dissolve - tastes awful but it will work.

I rubbed whiskey on mine when I had them, but it eventually didn't work and I had to have them all pulled and cut out (all of my wisdom teeth that is.)
