A lot of the time the first wire that the orthodontist puts on you is a very gentle one, just to get you used to the feel of having all that metal in your mouth. So, I don't suspect that they will hurt all that much initially, but once he starts using a heavier duty wire it will start to much more. Plus, how much pain your have to go through depends on how bad your teeth were when you began. :-)

Well mine hurt some bad the first day, but the next few days have that medicine ready. If they do not hurt in the next few days that would be great. If you are so concerned ask your dentist that put them on and I am sure that he/she would be happy to explain this to you.

It might be a delayed reaction, but some ppl don't have a lot of pain with their braces. Consider yourself lucky! It could be that your teeth don't have to be moved very much OR they just move pretty easily.

Well every 1 has different exprince in their lifes like having there first braces , bikes , and other stuff they never saw or even went through it!!!

they didn't hurt me either, throughout my braces period i didn't feel a thing, Just a bit of tension a couple of times. I hope you don't go through any pain

well i had braces and all my friends said i would hurt like heck but i didnt hurt at all!!!! dont sweat it they prolly wont hurt but just wait till tomorrow!!
