i was wondering what does extraction and scaling mean and how is it related to the crowns on our teeth

extraction of tooth meant that the tooth is to be removed (pulled-out) from the gums, scaling referred mostly to the cleaning of the gum line, much like what is done during dental prophylaxis

Well, extraction means pulling out your tooth. Pretty much, scaling means cleaning your gum line to help or prevent gum disease.
