Its true, good old salt water works the best. Just use hot water, as hot as you can stand it, and a lot of salt. Also pay attention to what you are drinking and eating. If you are consuming too many citrus/acidic based products that can be a contributer. Also, watch your stress levels. My friend gets them when she tends to stress out....

Canker sores of the mouth in most cases are a strain of the herpes virus just like chicken pox, most commonly known as herpes simplex. It is like other versions of herpes it is not cureable but there are some treatments for canker sores but the only ones worth anything have to be prescribed by a doctor or dermotologist specifically. Good luck.

Cankers are generally cased by an upset stomach. You take a laxative, it will clear out what is in your system and the cankers will mostly go away. You must figure out what upsets your stomach. I have never heard that cankers are COMMONLY caused by herpes, but there is a possibility, I suppose.

the same thing happens to me. there's no way to get rid of them forever but for now you can use this gel called Zilactin-B. it stings really badly the first few moments, my eyes actually start to tear, but after that it drys up the canker sore. you have to do this a few times daily until it passes.
