well good luck to you, i have been trying for 2 years to get dental work done, and i dont know where these other folks live but , where i live, i called over 25 dentists and was told no payment plans, all money due the day of service, also where i live there is no dental schools, i did though call a dental clinic where people on welfare go and asked if they have a dental payment plan, and they told me since i work, i had to pay in cash the total amount of services for each appointment. I really do feel for you, because i too need major dental work, and have no dental insurance at work. Now everyone can say, save the money, apply for financing, just call any dentist , they will give you a payment plan, but not everyone can afford to save the money, they may be living paycheck to paycheck, they may not be able to get financing, due to bad credit in the past, not every dentist everywhere will make payment plans, etc... so to all of the people that have dental insurance, and dont have a problem of being poor, or not having any of the above problems, please remember everyone in the world is not rich they do not have good jobs, they may not be able to afford insurance, etc...

If you live in a major city, call the universities, and ask how to get an appointment with the dental school department. The fee is free or very low.

Just don't call those 800 dental numbers you see on t.v.!

Call the health department in the city where you live. There is usually a dental clinic run by the government in most cities that offer free or reduced services to people without insurance. If they charge a fee they will set up payments for you.

At almost any dentist. Tell them you need a payment plan and they'll find someone to finance it for you. Dental insurance is usually very limited so they're used to this question.

Check with your local college or university if they have a dental program....they usually do dental work for very cheap.
