Dental - October 2007

I need one bad, if anyone could help me with some info I'd highly appreciate it!! after I turned 18 I lost ALL of my insurance so all I have is "indian Health" and I really don't know what to do! I do not trust the dentist that pulled my teeth.
he was mean in a hurry and he didn't listen to me or answer ANY of my questions. so is there a good cheap Orthodontist around here? Can anyone help me!!!!

Does it really whiten you teeth, is it safe to use.? But I'm more curious on the bad breath idea. Does it really treat it? Has anyone tried it and if so how do you use it. Like what are the instructions for whitening teeth and freshen breath with baking soda?

Thanks to everyone who is reading this and giving the best answer they can.
I currently have an underbite and have been having braces since 2002 to prepare for corrective surgery. After finding out how expensive it really is I am at a loss as to which insurance company will cover it. Alot of them claim that it is a cosmetic condition but mine is not just that. I have speech problems, as well as TMJ, and I really cant chew my food. I've been looking on the web for months but to no avail I can't find anyone who just outright said what insurance company they used-how they got covered. I currently live in New Jersey but am a resident of Maryland.
If anyone had the surgery/know a family member who did..please tell me what insurance company you used-what you did to get covered. Thankyou VERY much in advance.

I am not very happy with my teeth... a couple are crooked and i have a small overbite and there is not enough space in between my teeth... they are really close together, but the dentist said i really dont need braces. I WANT BRACES!!! I like the way they look, and I HATE my teeth. What are some ways i can make my teeth worse so I can get braces? Or... What should I say to my dentist to let him know I am not happy with my teeth?

i'm 16 and my wisdom teeth are coming in :( i have to get them pulled cause i dont have enough room for them. i already had a couple of molars pulled out before and it didnt hurt all that badly afterwards - the pain meds worked pretty well. i'm just worried about the wisdom teeth cause i heard u can get something called dry sockets.....so yah, how much does it hurt would you say? are dry sockets painful? (if you have experienced them....)

I've just had a temporary bridge fitted whilst my gums sort themselves out after an extraction.

Problem is it seems really big and a can hardly speak exept with a lisp. And the edges are really sharp and are slicing in to my tongue. Have I been sold a lemon or is this normal?

First off they said they were going to do one section at a time, so do the top right the first week, the top left the second week or so, and then the bottom right the week after that, and then the bottom left after that. I'M SCARED TO DEATH!! I've gotting shots before, but not since I was about 7 or so, so I can't remember. I'm really nervous and wanna know how bad it will hurt each time on a scale of 1-10, and 10 being the worst..? i'm 15.Thanks

This morning I have a routine check up and I was due for some xrays. I wasn't even thinking about if I was pregnant, because I don't know for sure yet. I am taking a test on Monday.
I had the xray where they put the tube by your mouth and take pics. They were extremely fast. Should I be worried if I am pregnant.

How risky are those xrays to the fetus?

Ok every once in awhile....usually in the morning this small white things are in my mouth and they smell really bad. Does anyone know what it is?

These white things are small squishy and I have no idea what they are...i guess they come out of my throat...sometimes i feel them in the back of my throat and work them out of my mouth..if that makes any sense. anyway anyone have an idea what they are?

Since 3 pieces of my teeth has rotted out and I have a hole on my other tooth would I be able to get teeth to replace those without having to wear dentures?

I do not drink milk and I do drink lots of soda pop, I try to brush my teeth at least twice a day and I often chew Trident gum.

I had a filling on my 2nd incisor on the left side of my mouth, upper jaw. Anyhow, a few minutes ago, I was flossing between my teeth, and the floss got stuck inbetween my two incisors, and when I finally dislodged the floss, I realized that my filling came out WITH the floss. I got this filling less than a year ago.
Can I get this fixed? And do you think my dental insurance will cover this?

I have a minor gap between my teeth, and the bottom row of teeth are kind of crooked

but i really want to correct the gap between my teeth(which is not very clear in the pic) should i get braces for just the top row of teeth or get bonding?

On Sunday i had 2 feeling done. Both of them been between my teeth so the dentist drilled between my teeth and the felled it up with white stuff. My teeth ar are sensetive after drinking cold water or drinking hot water. I get this shapt time of paint when i have cold water or hot water in my mouth. When i press on my teeth they dont hurt. My question is how long does it take for sensetivity to go away ??
