Thanks to everyone who is reading this and giving the best answer they can.
I currently have an underbite and have been having braces since 2002 to prepare for corrective surgery. After finding out how expensive it really is I am at a loss as to which insurance company will cover it. Alot of them claim that it is a cosmetic condition but mine is not just that. I have speech problems, as well as TMJ, and I really cant chew my food. I've been looking on the web for months but to no avail I can't find anyone who just outright said what insurance company they used-how they got covered. I currently live in New Jersey but am a resident of Maryland.
If anyone had the surgery/know a family member who did..please tell me what insurance company you used-what you did to get covered. Thankyou VERY much in advance.

My daughter's jaw surgery was covered but only after the surgeon sent x-rays, molds and his findings that this was not cosmetic but a medical necessity. They paid 100% of this $25,000 surgery, $5000 of the oral surgeon's bill.

None conceal it in case you're already making plans the surgical operation formerly you get the coverage. None conceal it in case you had the scientific situation once you probably did not have coverage and additionally you get the surgical operation interior of 6-18 months when you have the coverage. in case you have not have been given any coverage for sixty 3 days or longer in a row, then, for the subsequent 6-18 months, coverage in basic terms covers new well being situations that first initiate mutually as you have coverage, and does not conceal any scientific situation that began formerly. maximum coverage companies won't help you get coverage in case you're making plans surgical operation. whether you may get it, it won't conceal any surgical operation which you have been already making plans formerly you bought coverage.

I UNDERSTAND YOUR DILEMMA. CHECK WITH YOUR DENTAL INSURANCE ADMINISTRATOR TO SEE IF THIS CAN BE COVERED, OTHERWISE THIS MAY BE COVERED UNDER MEDICAL INSURANCE.
