There are no contraindications for using local anesthetic on patients who are epileptic. Some common reaction to local anesthetia are initial increase in heart rate and syncope (feeling faint).
Most types of anesthetics used in a dental office are either esters or amides. Epi (a vasoconstrictor) is added to some anesthetic to prolong the duration of action.
Sometimes, if you go to the dentist on an empty stomach the med can cause you to feel ill. Also, stress and anxiety can make you hypersensitive.

Alright, don't worry hun it's normal. No ,your dentist did NOT damage a nerve. I've gotten many injections of Novocain during my dentist appointments when I get work done on my teeth, and the numbness around your mouth and your eye will FADE away in about 3-4 hours. Try blinking you eye and squinting a lot if it really bothers you. Squinting and blinking will remove the numbness faster. Don't worry, it's absolutely normal. Good luck x

Thats the same way I am. I had fillings done two days ago and after the dentist gave me the injection I felt nausious and light headed. It went away after she was done doing the fillings. Im not sure what they gave me. When I had 7 teeth pulled they gave me Xlocaine and Marcaine.

It shouldn't cause any problems in epileptic patients. Incidentally, does your dentist know that you are epileptic? It should be on your records, because some antiepileptic medications can cause gum problems.

pontocaine + adrenaline= to numb and to decrease bleeding
Since its local anesthetic, it should not cause problems, but if you are sensitive to adrenaline, you might have fast heart rate
