I asked yetserday about a crown problem, It popped off a while ago and I had it put back on last week, it tastes like there is something in it, it's gross. People mentioned decay under the crown, but it has had 2 root canals and a filling, and it's barely a nub of a tooth. The dentist didn't say anything about a cavity when he put it on last week, could there be a cavity he didn't see? He would have filled a cavity before he put it on right? I am doing some high velocity gargling and am headed to town for a waterpik.....It still won't stop tasting bad...I didn't have this problem while the crown was off and I didn't see any cavities...what do you think? Is there some kind of "grout" I could use to fill in the gap between my tooth and the crown?

I think it is an ill-fitting crown- if they are not totally secure, they will emit odors- food and bacteria get caught in the small aperatures and thrive Go back and tell the Dentist that he needs to fix it. A dentist friend of mine always tells me he hates taking crowns off because some of them really stink!

Something's fishy here.....call your doc and explain the problem.

LINDSEY,
THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO SEE YOUR DENTIST AND TELL HIM THE PROBLEM.
