Wash your hands clean with plain water, without soap. Cup your two hands around your mouth so as to also cover the nose. Keep the space between the hands and fingers as airtight as possible. Take in a deep breath, hold it and blow quickly and continuously through your mouth. After some 3 or 4 seconds or so, stop blowing, close your mouth and immediately smell your exhaled air, without removing your cupped hands. This test would tell you if you have bad breath.
All people have bad breath, at all times. The bad odor may be mild or strong, depending on various factors, some due to medical problems and some due to the state of your internal organs. ( e.g. If you have constipation problems, your breath would develop a smell like feces, after a few days.) There cannot be a simple solution to bad breath, whatever toothpaste or mouthwash companies may claim.
Have you come across any person, of any age or sex, who does not suffer from bad breath, at any time, if they don't mask their breath with gum or other means?

if someone tells you that you have. or you can ask a close friend or relative to tell you honestly. but before anyone does, maintain good oral habits and use an all natural oral care product to help fight the causes of bad breath for it washes away food particles that are left on teeth and gums as well as, kills bad bacteria in the mouth. visit http://www.oramd.com for more breath care tips.

Hold your hand over your mouth and nose and then breathe out through your mouth. The air from your mouth will go up into your nostrils and you will be able to smell your breath.
...Either that or breathe in someone's face and see if they gag. :)

Breath hard on your wrist or arm, then smell. Also if you notice a stench around you that when you walk away seems to follow you... that may be your breath. I recommend Listerine mouthwash.

Umm........hold your palm up to your face and breathe into it. Otherwise, talk very close to a person's face. If they turn away or back away, or give you a nasty comment, then you have bad breath.

People will stand close to you at first and then back away for no reason and later avoid standing close to you and talking to you face to face.
Try going to your dentist. He/she will be honest about that and maybe even suggest something for you to do.

breathe in your hands and smell it. or, go up to a close friend, wheeze in their face, and observe their reaction. if they shrivel up and die, down that box of tic-tacs. if they cringe, a breath-strip will do. if they grin, they're creepy. nobody's breath smells grin-worthy.
