I'm just wondering how it's done and whether it hurts. I've had root canal done on that tooth before but now they want to extract it, and the dentist told me he'd have to do a surgical tooth extraction. So how long does it take and does it hurt? because "surgery" sounds like it would.

after i ran a mile, i got the taste of metal or rust in my mouth. a little like blood or something. i dont have braces so i really dont know where this is coming from. help?! is it bad?

Hi! I had my two bottom wisdom teeth cut out 2 weeks and 3 days ago. They did suture and everything looks pretty good. I only have a concern with one side. It was a partially erupted tooth and the extraction hole is almost perfectly horizontal going back into the jaw. It looks like although slowly it is in fact healing pretty well. It was VERY deep to begin with so I expect longer healing time. It looks like a little black underneath the new white tissue developing in the "bottom". Is that okay? Am I out of the woods for dry socket now? And IF mouth gunk or whatever got in there but it wasn't infected would it heal anyway? Can anything stop the healing process? I think because of it's horizontal position it is staying clean very easily... and I am a worry wart and I am ALWAYS worrying about what MIGHT be. I just want to be careful and want everything to continue along it's track. I don't have any pain anymore except for maybe a tiny bit of jaw soreness. Not bad at all! Thanks!

I read somewhere that brushing your teeth with warm or hot water gives you bad breath. But don't warm or hot water kill more germs & bacteria?

She wore braces as a teen, the like many did't wear he retainers. As a adult, 25 her lower teeth got very crooked then she had them venered. Her she lost one of her front teeth in a aciddent, and now has a implant. At 31 her midline is drifting off center and overbite growing with age. She has a beautiful smile but often hides it. I would love see her smile again.

On Friday, my 3 y/o started complaining that his mouth hurt. When we looked in his mouth, there is a blister but there is also a whole on the inside of his lip. It does not go all the way thru to the outside. It is at the very bottom of his lip about at the base of the gum line but not in his gum. He could not have bit it due to the place it is in. He never cried when it initially started hurting him. Now, he cries with it all the time. And of course, he has a hard time eating. What would cause this hole and is this something we should get checked out?

I recently lost my job and my private medical care so had to use a cheap dentist when I got tooth ache and fount one in the local paper.

I went to his surgery but it was his house and had all the equipment so seemed ok, he was a big African doctor called Dr Jumbingowali and was really friendly..

When i was getting my teeth done and had my mouth open he was eating his lunch and ate sandwiches with one hand and did my teeth with the other hand. I could feel bits of his sandwich fall in my mouth but he lent over and a bit feel out his mouth into mine and i accidentally swallowed it.. I felt sick

should I report him, I have to go back in 5 days and dont want to thou? what shall i do ??
