I read somewhere that brushing your teeth with warm or hot water gives you bad breath. But don't warm or hot water kill more germs & bacteria?

I would say warm. When you wash dishes you use warm water to kill more germs. The same will go for germs in your mouth.

Hope that Helps

Hi Miss Independent

Brushing ur teeth with warm/hot water is great as it definatley kills more bacteria and also cleans ur tongue which is very important to get rid of bad breath but when you have finished brushing rinse mouth out with a blast of cold water as this neautralises and refreshes the mouth its even better to use mouthwash with cold water.

The best reason to use warm water is so as not to shock your teeth and cause sensitivity ( by either cold or hot water.)

If you're concerned about bad breath, don't forget to brush your tongue. Also, as they say, floss each tooth you want to keep.

I started using warm water a few years ago and it works better for teeth sensitivity and for toothpaste dissolving.

The important thing is cleaning your mouth. Thoroughly cleaning (brushing AND flossing) at least once in a 24 hr period will prevent both tooth decay and gum disease.

I THINK I WOULD AGREE WITH THE OTHER READERS ON THIS TOPIC.
I USE USE WARM WATER, I HAVE SENSITIVE GUMS
ALSO I FIND IT CLEANS BETTER AND MY MOUTH FEELS CLEANER.
ALSO MUCH BETTER TO CLEAN THE TONGUE
WARM WATER WOULD KILL MORE BACTERIA, EVEN ON TOOTHBRUSH.
FLOSS FIRST, THEN BRUSH, YOU'LL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE
