I HAVE HAD THE WORST TOOTHACHE EVER IN MY LIFE FOR THE PASS 4 DAYS, ITS THE SAME TOOTH WERE I HAVE HAD A CAVATY FILLED. I THINK THAT IT IS DEAD OR ROTTEN ALTHOUGH IT IS WHITE. IT IS IN THE BACK OF MY MOUTH, AROUND MY JAW AREA. WHAT FEELS BETTER A ROOT CANAL OR GETTING YOUR TOOTH PULLED? I KNOW THEY BOTH HURT, BUT WHAT'S BETTER?

They say that hanging onto a tooth, even though it is just a little nub, is better than getting it pulled.
Getting it pulled means that other teeth with slide and misalign, causing more trouble down the line. Plus the hole leaves you open to some really wild infections, including one that effects the heart.
Get the root canal and crown if you can at all afford it.

Start NOW on a regimen of oregano oil gelcaps, selenium, vitamin C, and swishing then swallowing Colloidal Silver, to help kick the infection and reduce inflammation to make the procedure go smoother. They will write you a prescription for pain-killers, too.

A root canal and then a crown is an expensive procedure even with insurance paying part (if you have ins), but pulling the tooth can lead to other possible complications down the line. If there are teeth on either side they can drift in to the space and cause problems with you bite that may have to be addressed with other dental procedures, costing you more time and money. If you have the recorces to get the rootcanal and crown it would probably be the best way to go. hope you feel better, good luck what ever you decide.

Save your tooth! Root canals don't hurt but pulling a tooth does!

How much do you want to spend? I root canel and crown will be about 1500.00 to pull your tooth is maybe 250.00.It won't hurt either way they will numb your tooth and if its the last tooth in your month maybe you can live without it but if it in the middle you might want a root canel and crown .Also the denist hit a nerve when he was filling your tooth if you call him he should call you in a prescrition for a pain pill. ken

If you get that tooth pulled then it won't bother you ever again, but if you get a root canal it may bother you later on.

tough question... i think id have to go with root canal. of course, i never had any cavities or pulled teeth or root canals, but i do have braces, and they did this thing where they sand-papered my teeth to make them smaller instead of pulling teeth. i am so gratefull they did this because i still have all my teeth.
