I have a friend who hears all kinds of myths like this, and being an avid gum chewer (Stride all the way!) I really wondered if there was any truth to this.

Stride is a sugarless gum and I've heard good tthings bout chewing gum, like how it helps circulate blood to your brain which helps you think.

So I have to get a crown... My very back top tooth. I am so nervous about it. I have been told not to worry... But, i am... Doesn't it hurt more than a filling? Does it ache... What should I expect? I have a great dentist... And I love his assistant... They are very gentle, and care about how I am feeling... The novacaine shots, they are tolerable... I just want to know how bad this is... He said there is a slight chance it MAY need a root canal but he won't know until he gets in there.

I don't qualify for help, but I can't pay for something like that up front. With all the bills I have I can make only payments. A lot of dentists around here don't take payments. Where can I go? What websites?

It is a tooth that has given many problems since receiving a filling, the last time he tried to fix it, he gave me 5 shots, one which is supposed to be stronger than normal and it still felt like he was drilling my nerve! It is still in pain and needs more work done but I am scared because it is going to hurt like crazy! Does the gas that dentist give you help numb you up or is shots the only thing, because if it it then I will have to have it pulled because it it just too painful

I'm 16-I went to the dentist for the first time in about 10 years when I was about 14 or 15 (haven't been again since), and I was guessing I'd have a lotta cavities cuz I hadn't been in so long, but I didn't have ANY.

When I was younger I didn't do the greatest job brushing my teeth. I mean, just like any normal kid, brushing my teeth wasn't my favorite thing to do! lol But I guess I wasn't HORRIBLE at it...

CONT. BELOW IN DETAILS.

giving my child gas and putting my child under terrifies me. i want her to be healthy and have great teeth but is it necessary to do this while my child is so young? my child is 7. Do any of you have any experiences with this? my child will not cooperate with the dentist because my child is scared. Could i wait til my child is a little older and more cooperative? putting even an adult under is dangerous. what do you know?

Im thinking about getting lumineers to fix up my teeth. Im kindve nervous though b/c im not sure if this is a better move as opposed to braces. I know that this step is permanent, and costly. Im kindve feeling like I just want my own natural teeth to be fixed, but im not sure if braces would be more expensive than lumineers. Help!!!
