Before, during, after.... like how sore do u get and for how long .. what are the odds of it getting infected?

Of course it is going to hurt! Anytime you decide to put a decent sized gauge needle through sensitive flesh, especially your tongue with your taste buds and nerve endings. You are going to have a very swollen tongue and it is going to hurt a good two weeks and perhaps longer if you don't take care of it well or the person piercing you doesn't have a clue.

It doesn't hurt that bad to get it pierced. Its over in about 20 seconds. They thing that can be a little painful is the aftermath. My tongue swelled a little the first week, but after the swelling went down, it was fine. Try to avoid playing with it and touching it until it is completely healed, or it may get infected. Just remember to follow all the directions on the aftercare sheet your piercer gives you.
You only live once, so why not do it?

the piercing its self doesnt hurt its a slight pinch and a tad uncomfortable but a day or so after is the worse pain (its wen the swelling reaches its max and hurts) avoid salty food and tiny things that can get in between the hole and the barebell(salt, sugar, poppyseeds ect...) swelling lasts about 4 days ice pops will be your best friend...and you prolly will get a small infection shortly after a month id say which is a good thing it alows your body to get use to the infection and fight it off but mouth wash after every meal (or atleast 3 times a day) but the joys of a tongue ring are awesome =] have fun

It doesnt hurt that day but the next day it feels like u bit your tongue really bad! but just watch what you eat and you wont get it infected!

Bout 2 weeks heck yyes it hurts and sore for 2-6 weeks odds are pretty good on getting infected.

It doesn't hurt at all. I've never heard of anyone's tongue getting infected. Infection is just a word President Bush made up to scare people out of looking cool. Don't worry about it. You'll be fine. Damn the man...save the empire.

didnt you just ask about nipples? Tounge doesnt hurt as bad, but it is swollen for about three days after. Its hard to talk, hard to eat.... and you have to be very careful what you eat b/c you dont want it getting infected. Plus you have to clean out your mouth evertime you eat, drink, or smoke

no the pain comes after
swelling and you cant eat for like 4 days
it is even hard drinking through a straw
oooooooooh flashbacks

I'M ALSO SURE YOU MEANT TO SPELL 'THINKING' RATHER THAN "THINGLING",AS WELL 'TONGUE' RATHER THAN "TOUNGE."
THE ODDS OF IT BECOMING INFECTED OR YOU HAVING DAMAGE TO YOUR TONGUE IS GREATLY INCREASED.
