Didn't you have to fill out a medical history form????

If you needed an xray, I would hope they put a 'lead' shield over you that also covered your thyroid area. Ideally you have to get clearance from your OB/GYN for dental treatment... call them and let them know what happened and see what they say.

Congrats on the upcoming new baby!

Most dentist would recc that you wait to have dental treatment ( except emergencies) until after your pregnancy. The most vulnerable time is during the first trimester( development of baby's vital organs) but some patients are not aware they are even pregnant. Second trimester is the best time to have dental treatment if you need any work done. I think you should be fine. If they took x-rays on you, they normally put a lead apron over you so you're protected. If they took digital x-rays on you the radiation dose is minimal. By the way teeth cleaning or exam will not harm the baby. In fact dental cleanings are recommended while you're pregnant to reduce the chance of you developing pregnancy gingivitis.

Only problem would be if the doctor took an xray. Just an exam would not cause any issues.
