This could be a infection of a cist. I would suggest going to the dentist and having it looked at. A infection in the mouth can lead to serious problem.
It may very well be treated with simple antibiotics or may have to be lanced. Either way I am sure it's not to much to worry about, but you should have it looked at.

you don't say if the white spot is sore. It might be a kanker sore and if it is. You need to put 1/8th of a teaspoon of salt in a 7 oz or just a small cup and then add warm but not hot water to that and then stir it. Gargle with that mixture until it goes away. Should take at least a few days. You may want to see your Doctor about it too.

Yup sounds like a canker sore. I get one on my gums about once a year. Go to the local pharamacy and buy a canker sore patches. They work great and your sore will feel better in about 2 days!

Are you talking about what they also call a canker sore? I recently had one of those too, I had never had them on my gum before. It looked worse than the ones you get on your tongue or inside of your cheek. I didn't try it this time, but when I've had regular canker sores rinsing with warm saltwater at night before bed usually helps.

It could be an ulcer or it could be a viral or fungal infection, so you need to get it checked out, especially if it is painful.
Dissolve sea salt in luke warm water and rinse twice daily. Also you can try corsodyl (Chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash), but this may stain your teeth (your dentist can remove the staining).
I hope this helps

It's most likely a canker sore. Check out this info to see if it matches what you are experiencing. If it doesn't go away soon or gets worse I would have it checked out.

Mouth wash every day with Hydrogen Peroxide. It heals all gum problems.
That could be the start of strep.

well, i hope that you did not get this from oral sex or if you have been having unprotected sex. i am not sure but you should go see a dentist about that. if you know you got it from sex you need to go see a doctor ASAP. Go to the Dr soon, because it could come back. you need to check that out.
