Place the tube on a flat surface. Use the toothbrush handle or similar to firmly smooth out the tube completely. Then bend the top over and squeeze the remaining paste out of the opening.
I am a dental nurse and I use a metal spatula with this method to squeeze the last amount of dental material out of the tubes.

I like to use the Colgate Whitening Toothpaste, and it doesn't come in a tube, it's kind of hard to explain it's container. But it's got a top thats broad and flat so when the toothpaste is starting to get low you can store it lid down and all day long the toothpaste will slowly just settle to the top and gravity does the rest!

There's these clips you can get at your local drug store that will help you get the most paste out of your toothpaste tube. They go around the tube and ease the past to the opening at the top. You should be able to get every last bit. Good luck!

in beauty stores they sell plastic keys that are for hair dye that comes in a tube like toothpaste does. those work great. its plastic or they have metal ones it is long & has a small slit. you insert the bottom flat part at the end of the tube into that slit. then you roll it upward using the key & because it is hard metal, it really pushs every last drop out. theyre like a dollar & reusable.
