Call your Orthodontist TODAY, don't wait another day. It could be cement, or it could be the band around the molar tooth may be impinging your bite, that is common, but this needs to be looked at today. The Orthodontist should have someone on call, so don't feel bad about calling, you need to be looked at. Best of luck

Don't try to do this yourself - you may damage your teeth or slip and injure your gums.
You MUST go back to your orthodontist - or any dentist if that's a problem - and he will use a bur to smooth/polish the rough area.

Dentist is LAZY... make another appt and tell him to smooth out the area! That's lame.

I had braces myself many years ago, I know your pain.
