I had a root canal done just over a year ago. Today I felt up there and the whole filling is gone. I have heard of the cracking before, but is it common for them to totally fall out? Do I have any recourse with my dentist? I do not eat nuts or peanuts.

The dentist took my 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday. But he said that he was going to leave the roots in, only for one of the four wisdom teeth. They put me to sleep with IV sedation and I felt nothing during surgery. IV sedation works great, it's the best thing. However, this is my second day after surgery and I can't eat solid food, this is the bothersome thing about this. I am worry because the dentist left one root in, and I don't know what's going to happen next. Does anyone know what happens when roots are not taken out? Will I ever have to get them remove in the future?

That thing that the dentist gives you after they pulled ur wisdom teeth out.....I am currently running out. What is the best way to stop the bleeding if you dont have that thing anymore other then a teabag. Also, when will I stopped drooling with blood! It is driving me crazy right now!!

I just got my tooth extracted yesterday and ever since then, food got stuck in the site where the tooth was taken out. I couldn't use the salt water because you are not supposed to do that in the first 24 hours. So some food particles are stuck there. I can see it but I can't take it out...Is that something I should be worried about? How should I get it out?

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. The two top teeth were both partial impacted and the 2 bottom teeth were completly impacted. I have been doing pretty good most of the day. I am on percocet 10's wich i have take 1 half pill this morning and the other half 2 hours ago. I am also on rx ibuprophen 600 mg and i've taken 2 so far 1 pill every 4 hours. I am supposed to start the Penacillin antibiotic tonight. The problem is I am still bleeding. my chin and my lips are totally numb still ,and of cource I am very sore. The worst thing is the nausea. I got feeling so sick over the past 2 hours and as I was getting in bed to lay back I felt my stomach raise up and I starting throwing up everywhere. I fortunaly had a bucket but now my teeth are bleeding and really throbbing. I rinsed really well and stuck gauze back there again. Im not feeling as sick now that I have thrown up. Is this normal? Thanks.. Im alone and need to know what to do.

Well, I only have one cavity, but it's very large. It doesn't hurt me, but there have been a few times when a tooth brush bristle found its way in and gave me a little shock. My dentist told me that a root canal is a possibility at this point. My mother knows a trusted endodontist that will perform the procedure, but what should I be expecting, what should I do to prepare, what helps with the pain?

Thanks in advance!

my boyfriend had a back tooth out on monday and was feeling better but since last night is in really bad pain again. It does not look infected. Any suggestions on pain relief and how long yours took to get better.he is taking nurefen plus(ibroprophen & codiene) and paractemol. Any other tips would be good thanks. It was a tooth that he had previously had a root canal if that makes any difference but that was done a few years ago. thanks

Hey if I wanted to get by for a year without having to buy toothpaste how many tubes of tooth paste do you think I'd need? My friend said one for every month but I think that's a bit too much. I also am running out of time so I can't keep exact tabs on my tooth paste consumption.
