Have you ever heard the term "it's like pulling teeth" to describe something that is EXTREMELY difficult to do? Try to remove it yourself, without any anesthetic, and you'll find out VERY quickly why they say that. Take some ibuprofen, and see a dentist as soon as you can.

Unless it falls out on it's own, Nooo... That is NOT likely to make it stop hurting and you could do more damage to your mouth. You need to have your dentist fix that ASAP, I would call them now and leave a message if the office is now closed where you are. You probably need an extraction or root canal done very soon.

Last November I had an old patched up fracture worsen and had to have a root canal and crown done... it hurt like hell too. Even worse at night when laying down made my whole head hurt. I basically tried to sleep sitting up for the most part. So I understand completely.

Take two Motrin or anything with ibuprofen.

You can stop the pain directly by getting some oil of cloves at the drugstore. You soak a Kleenex or cotton swab in it and then place it directly over the tooth. BINGO. No pain. This should give you some time for the ibuprofen to kick in. In the meantime, you might see if there is a 24 emergency dental clinic in your area.
Don't try to pull it yourself silly.

*NOTE (oil of cloves, AKA Clove oil, is the actual active ingredient in a lot of dental freezings.
When you walk into a dental office and smell that dental office smell, this is what you are smelling.

It's very important that you try not to get any on your tongue as it is very ticklish and your tongue might fall asleep. It also tastes very clovey.
It's also important that you don't swallow it.)

NO, most back molars have four roots which grow around the bone and it would be nearly if not completely impossible to do it yourself. You need dental care. If your can't afford it lots of towns and cities have free clinics which will pull teeth or dental colleges (if you are lucky enough to live near on will provide dentla care for indigent people. Lay an aspirin on it and let it dissolve. It will help a little. Call a dentist and see if you cna make payments if all else fails for you.

no. but a dentist would probably want you to take antbiotics for a couple of days before they would touch it - so if you go to an ER or GP try to make them give you some . i've known a few people wha have gone to a particular horse dentist to get teeth pulled - 'cos they can't afford a human dentist and the anaseathia and all that .good luck . if you take a painkiller with a sedative you get more bang for your buck btw.

No...You will be in so much pain. It would be worse than if you had just had a root canal done....What if the tooth is weaker than you think and it breaks off and a piece or pieces are still stuck in your gums...I would suggest holding off until Monday, because of the weekend and then going to see a dentist.

NO! Go to the emergency room and see if they can take the tooth out, or at least give you something for the pain until you can see a dentist.
