When I was 16, I got into a fight and the kid hit one of my front teeth and he knocked it back, I moved it back into place and never did anything else to it again. It got discolored than just stayed in place. I went to a dentist about a week after the fight and he told me that the tooth was dead by doing a test on it. Ever since then, I never did anything about the tooth. It has never bothered me ever, I just have no feeling in it what so ever. I heard that some dead teeth get infected? How would I know if anything is wrong with my dead tooth? What Should I do about this?

Well over a month ago, I think I burnt my tongue on hot pizza, while high on pot. I have a red sensitive mark on the back of my tongue. At first it was bleeding a little when i'd scrape my tongue, which I haven't been doing of late. It hasn't gone away and it's been over a month.

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out next week, and i was curious how bad it really hurts.

And do they give you vicodin or something else to numb the pain?

also, i heard that it leaves big gaps in your gums that food gets trapped in...that would suck.
ugh. i'm just scared i guess.
what have been your experiences with wisdom teeth?

I need a root canal and It will cost me $500 for it plus an additional $550 for the crown. I do NOT have dental insurance. I was told from a friend of mine to just have it pulled-but I want to be asleep like I was for my wisdom teeth. I don't want to hear any tooth being pulled out. (My parents had insurance to cover my wisdom teeth when I was 18.)

I asked a question, about how 2 relax my 5 yr old when getting her cavities filled. I took her 2 the dentist 2day 2 get some cavities filled, She has had 1 cavity filled b4. The dentist that did it, gave her a sedation jucie. It didn't put her 2 sleep, it just relaxed her. This dentist DOES NOTHING OF THAT SORT! they will only give her Novcaine to numb her. I asked them if they could prescrbe me something to give to her before we go to the dentist and they said NO! It was so bad 2day that I had to hold her down, they tried to strap her down and she managed to get free. She screamed the whole time. I could not hold her down she would kick and pinch me, she even bit the dentist! Is there anything that I can do or give her to relax her before she goes to the dentist? we have to go next week to try again SAME DENTIST! and I don't want to go through that again. The dentist will not prescribe her anything. Should I ask her Pediatriian to prescibe her something?

I took my 5 yr old 2 the dentist 2day. She had cavities. She was suppose 2 get them filled 2day. She has had fillings B-4 but the dentist that did it gave her a sedation. She was still awake just relaxed I was w/her the whole time. This dentist doesn't do that. They only use Novcaine. My kid fliped out. She screamed louder then I'd ever heard her scream. They managed to get one filled. But She fought the whole time I had to lay on top of her to hold her down, they even tried strapping her down, and she managed to get out it. I asked them if they could prescribe me something 4 her, to give her b4 I come next time to relax her. They told me no they won't. Is there anything that I can do relax her? is there anything that I can give her?

About a month ago I noticed that there was a rough spot near the gumline of one of my teeth. I looked closer and it was a little chip in my tooth. I had just been to the dentist a few weeks before and thought that maybe he accidently chipped it. Then a few more weeks passed and I noticed 2 more teeth with chips in them at the gumline. Now I'm starting to freak out. Earlier today I found yet another chip in a different tooth. And my front teeth feel like they're numb, or like there's some sort of pressure on them.

More background....I started wearing a mouthgard at night 2 months ago because my dentist said I was grinding my teeth at night. It's called "The Dentist's Mouthgard" or something like that. I'm 24 years old, had braces when I was in high school, and regularly go to the dentist.
